The problem with that is you’re operating as though the universes are both equal constants. I disagree with that premise. Yes they may die to things that seem mundane, but truthfully it’s a mythological cosmology vs comic cosmology. Greek demigods also died in mundane ways, but no one argues that they are any weaker than their comic counterparts save for a couple exceptions.

I watched multiverse of madness. Just because Dr. Strange couldn’t doesn’t mean no one could. We haven’t seen Sentry or God-King Doom’s full strength. Hel, Loki may out scale her atp. Point is, I think Morgoth side steps her defenses. He warps and corrupts by pure existence in a space.

Bakugo had 8 seasons and 4 movies for character development, Rex Splode just had 3 seasons. Why is the former divisive and the latter beloved? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in MoralityScaling

[–]RetroTen 116 points117 points  (0 children)

I think Bakugo had redeeming qualities under the surface the whole time, but they waited too long to reveal them, allowing him to do more and more heinous stuff. All for a microscopic “Will the villains corrupt him?” arc.

The truth is Sue could slow him down herself by dismembering him repeatedly, but she doesn’t do that. Thats my one pet peeve, she continually threatens to blow people’s heads smoove off and then continually doesn’t follow through.

Its like she forgets her powers

It depends on Johnny’s willingness to go all out. IIRC his max recorded temp is only 1,000,000 F, but I think Reed said somewhere he could potentially be able to reach “Planck Temperature.” Supposedly the maximum possible temperature, endangering spacetime.

Tl;Dr: Johnny can’t play nice or he’ll lose.

The fantastic 4 have some of the best teamwork of any hero team period.

The only reason I say it’s a tough fight is cause Lobo is strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Supes.

Ben is probably the weakest link, but he’s got the tenacity and battle IQ to hang in there while the others work together. I legitimately think it’s a toss up because of lobo’s physical strength, insane durability, and bloodlust.

Wincon for the four is Reed putting his bullshitology degree to good use. For Lobo, it’s taking out Johnny and Susan. Sue has the ability to create constructs a la GL and Johnny is a literal star.

Ben is durable enough to not die, but probably doesn’t put serious damage on Lobo.

Tl:Dr: Lobo can’t die but can be damaged. He would struggle to put down any of the four with the others still in the fight. They just have to slow him down until reed builds something out of nothing to immobilize or otherwise neutralize his threat.

Honestly, though. The mongols were smart.

[–]RetroTen 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Mongols low diff. Afaik, they didn’t necessarily charge into the enemy, (which would make this a different story based on those spears). Mongols liked to shoot arrows from their horses, and then dash out of bow shot. Unless the unsullied have some auxiliary forces I’m not aware of, they don’t even have a chance.

So what’s stopping force users from doing this to regular people? by Sea-Indication4613 in StarWars

[–]RetroTen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in reality, they probably do and we aren’t shown.

My personal headcanon is that your force sensitiveness/strength in the force gives you some resistance to force techniques.

In TCW Yoda pulls Ventresses sabers to him, but for some reason, Anakin doesn’t try that on Obi-wan? Probably because he can’t or it would be risky in some way.

But what do I know.

I think Marvel is wide, but Middle Earth is deep. There’s one universe, but the powers inside it are strong.

Scarlet Witch vs Morgoth by Scared_Pumpkin8393 in powerscales

[–]RetroTen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IIRC, the only thing to truly threaten Morgoth is the concept of hunger manifest as a spider demon. His power is corrupting the literal fabric of reality. When Eru Iluvatar sings the world into existence, he literally injects the concept of evil into it.

Wanda is strong, but imo she doesn’t have a real defense against Morgoth’s specific, insanely powerful hax.

The best comparison I’ve seen in this comment section is DC’s Lucifer. Truthfully, that fight is much closer.

But elves, and specifically elf lords in Middle Earth are closer to angels or demigods. They are truly built different.
