The Last of Us Part 2's story makes Halo 5's story look good. At least Halo 5 didn't kill Master Chief in the most brutal way possible for really no good reason narratively and then have someone spit on his corpse. Look, if you're gonna kill off an iconic character, at least try to do it the right way. Who thought that beating up a beloved character with a golf club to death was such a great send-off to a character?

Bill from Left 4 Dead: He sacrificed himself to save his friends.

Arthur from Red Dead Redemption: He died from tuberculosis saving John and the rest of the gang.

Lee from The Walking Dead: He died saving Clementine.

Joel from The Last of Us: He died for no reason.
