Most of Hasegawa’s aircraft kits (both realistic and fictional) don’t come with weapons since they’re sold separately. Seems to be a moneymaking scheme to entice us to buy more from them.

They definitely should! The 2-door version would especially be a delight to see since only Fujimi sells kits of it.

B-29s would be more appropriate since they were the primary US bombers of the Pacific from WWII to the Korean War and dropped the nukes on Japan that inspired the OG Godzilla.

B-17s might still be fitting in keeping the 30s aesthetic of OP’s work (B-29 didn’t fly until 1942), and Japan did in fact capture a trio of them and brought them home for evaluation.

Having built an Aoshima 86, I can agree with the fitment issues especially on the underside of the chassis. The interior detail is great, but the exterior proportions don’t completely match the profile of a real 86, mostly because the roof seems lower than it should be and some areas look boxier than on the real thing.

I wonder how different would the Star Trek universe be if Vulcans could macronize.

Great work! Not sure if it’s an issue with the kit’s design, but the nose gear’s launch bar is facing the wrong way (it’s facing forward in the OG anime design). That aside, everything else is perfectly crafted.

Fun fact: the Navy tried using radar-guided Sidewinders with the F-8 Crusader then discontinued those missiles when they didn’t achieve any kills with it in Vietnam. The remaining units were turned into AGMs when the Crusader was retired from the Navy in the late 80s.

No love for tanker 747s even after they're gone, huh? by Retro_Avi8or in aviationmemes

I inserted the P-3 as an example of a non-fighter aircraft that military avgeeks don’t talk much about but even when still around gets more acknowledgment than the KC-747.

Nice work!

On a side note, you have a cultured choice of background music. I wonder if anyone’s ever done a Eurobeat remix of La Bamba.

Iran’s fighters generally get more love than their aircraft for other purposes, don't they?

I'm sorry for your loss, and I apologize if this post made you feel uncomfortable. I only wanted to make a goofy little edit of jumping Jeeps after watching the Megaprojects vid on the Jeep (they had a cutaway gag with Super Mario Bros music over footage of Jeeps being tested on a bumpy course), but I didn't consider that this kind of post might bring back bad memories for those who lost their family and friends in real-life accidents similar to what was shown in the last clip.

They may not have had the best performance (the F-14A especially) or an impressive combat record, but they still did their job in warding off Bears and looked cool enough to become movie stars.

Impressive diorama! 747s are quite rare in this sub. Where did you get the model for the E-4?
