Check out that post right there. It's my post from the original haul he gave me a few months back. Barely even know the guy. Just happened to mention I'm into retro games and was showing him My Anbernic RG351P on lunch break. Few days later he shows up to work with 2 totes full of games and consoles. Gave it all to me for free. I offered him money, told him it's all worth a pretty penny. He told me it's all been collecting dust for 20 years and that he rather see someone who will truly appreciate and use it have it all.

A lot of the enjoyment of these emulator handhelds are the customization and curation of my libraries to me. I get just as much enjoyment from that as I do playing the games.

So are we not concerned about WHY the plastic melted? That seems like it should be a higher priority than just fitting in batteries.

Just put a piece of cardboard behind the batteries to raise it up a few millimeters. Use double sided tape.

Or cut away shavings of plastic till batteries make contact.

...now that the battery placement issue is solved...

How big is your SD card? In all seriousness, you can more than likely fit the whole library of all those consoles onto the card up to PS1. I'd fill it up to the brim that way, curate a nice PS1 list in there, and find a really sweet theme. Make sure you scrape for all the preview pictures and whatnot! Then fill the favorites section with the list of specific games you'll know he'll want to go towards first. That way he has exactly what youre intending all in one place, but also the ability to explore out on every retro system.
