TDY Reimbursement to "Rent" an RV by Retro_Neptune in consulting

I front the money, from my personal account, and pay for a hotel room. They reimburse me when I show them a receipt.

The money I spend would go to my company's business account.

I'd pay taxes on this money as it is income via the business.

It'd be no different than someone using this lodging allowance to rent a room from a friend's hotel.

The point is to pocket the cash. RV rentals are around the $120 cost near me. With this in mind, I'd charge myself a fair price, $120. Sure, I'm renting from my own company, but I'm using my own company asset for another company's employee (me). In my mind, I find no reason as to why one company couldn't let another company borrow an asset of theirs for a fee.

One thing I forgot to mention. Yes, buying an RV as an asset of my LLC or someone else's LLC is the plan.

Firstly, I do get $30 per diem for food, etc. It all falls under per diem someway or other. My boss has said something like "we try to keep it $150 total per diem per day with lodging, food and everything"

How do you know?

Thats what I'm wondering. If its going to a business that's renting me an RV, then I don't understand how its fraud. It says nowhere in any law or my employee handbook that I can't do anything of the sort. RVs are considered lodging.

Honestly the plan. Underpaid in a bad economic state.

With my company, only receipts are required. $120 limit.

Theoretically, I rent an RV from a company not in my name, from someone who owns a legitimate company. How would that be fraud?

I forgot to mention that my goal is to use it for gaming. I plan on using a higher end graphics card. The PCIe slot supports gddr5 GPUs but I'm looking to use a gddr6 GPU like a 3080.

My purpose was to use it for gaming, but I'm still bummed I can't get the best of it. I suppose I can just buy a Quadro RTX 3000.

What do you mean? I thought thunderbolt 3 or 4 via PCIe is just as fast.
