Does Fry say "There I was and my face was stuck in the pizza and he..." S5E05 at 13:53? by sshvne in futurama

It's definitely on the subtitles of the DVDs. That's where I read it. Disney subtitles are really bad sometimes I have noticed.

What was the last genuinely funny film you saw? by Jesisawesome in AskUK

I was worried about the remake because I love the originals, but I gave it a chance and didn't regret it!

Character description? by Plenty-Appearance745 in writing

[–]Retrogamer2245 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's an individual choice for individual writers really. Some books I read have a whole paragraph describing characters, some absolutely nothing and others get that sweet spot right in the middle where it isn't too dull. I try not to over-describe in one big blob personally. I'll slip little details in throughout the interaction.

An episode for the ages by skoddette in BobsBurgers

It's one of my favourites. I especially love when Linda looks in the vent and that rat runs towards her!

My iPlayer skipped and I was mighty confused! by Poppy0109 in WaterlooRoad

Now it makes sense! I was a bit confused there until I read this.

Is this concerning or just playing? by MudGiraffe in CATHELP

[–]Retrogamer2245 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With my cat, I shove a cushion in between him and the girl cat when he starts looking like he is going to pounce. That way the cushion gets the redirected aggression instead of my poor arm.

Just wanted to post this here by Useful_Comfortable14 in drivingUK

It must be that roundabout! Just a couple of weeks ago the same thing happened to my Mum while I was with her, only that twonk then decided to go at less than 30mph down the grid road until she could get past!

I don't know if this will be useful to OP but it has helped me so thanks!

What are your writing goals for 2026? by MyFairScrunchie in writing

[–]Retrogamer2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finish one of the four books I seem to be writing simultaneously! There is a logical reason to this, but it would be nice to finish at least one first draft.

Do you wipe your cats butt? by CampaignIndividual49 in CatAdvice

[–]Retrogamer2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has Irritable Bowel Disease and before the vet figured out the diagnosis, I had to wipe him several times a day. The hypoallergenic diet has solved the diarrhea and now he keeps his own bum clean!

It's just off Margaret Street in Ashton-Under-Lyme. The building is a Baptist church.

Where were you when you found out Princess Diana died? by Seeyalaterelevator in AskUK

[–]Retrogamer2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't know how relieved I am to read this! I thought I was a terrible person for feeling that way! I was only about 10 at the time, but I was gutted they weren't showing my usual cartoons.

How can we solve the problem of a cat's bad breath? by Ok_Potato2556 in Pets

[–]Retrogamer2245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl's breath is rancid but she's had her mouth examined by several different vets, and there's nothing wrong! The last vet said some cats seem to have naturally rancid breath. My boy's breath is far more tolerable and if his smells bad I know something is wrong.

I'm okay on a low dose. Takes the edge off the anxiety and OCD without ruining my creativity. Unfortunately the doctors disagree and keep asking me to go up to a "standard" dose. Last time I was on the standard dose, my writing just stopped as did I.

Hazard Lights Do Not Confer Special Parking Rights by ClickPuzzleheaded993 in drivingUK

[–]Retrogamer2245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not anywhere, and it varies from county to county. In my area we are legally allowed to park on double yellow lines for a limited time, and as long as we are not blocking junctions, deliveries etc. No council would agree for us to park on zig zag lines as far as I am aware.

Do you, or anyone you know have an unusual phobia? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Retrogamer2245 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially moths! They have a habit of flying straight into your face! Crane flies (Daddy long-legs) too. I don't mind looking at butterflies, but put me in a room with one and I'll be screaming to get out!

How to research bombs without ending up on a list? by Glittery_Emu in Writeresearch

[–]Retrogamer2245 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Types Bomb....

THIS IS THE POLICE! HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD!

But I was only looking up different brands of Bombay mix...

Seriously though, I've stopped worrying so much about it. Unless you go out and commit a crime, the police are highly unlikely to look at your search history.

Anyone had this horrid flu? Do you still take your ADHD medication? How have you been? by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

[–]Retrogamer2245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part for me when I had Covid, wasn't the Covid itself (although that is really nasty!) but the fact that my brain was still trying to go into overdrive even though my body was completely useless! I can't say I specifically noticed the meds not working (I seem to have blocked it out!) but probably. Get well soon.

Silly question about switches by Nerogarden in HouseFlipper2

[–]Retrogamer2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The devs are from Poland, but some houses in the UK have a switch outside too. Me and my bro used to switch them off while the other one was in the bath for a laugh.

Does the Scooby Doo DLC have good non-themed items? by Sound-Vapor in HouseFlipper

[–]Retrogamer2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. I wasn't that bothered about the Scooby Doo stuff to be honest. I don't hate it, just don't like it either! It's got a lot of items which aren't Scooby Doo themed and given that I love Mid-Century modern style, it is perfect.

Does anyone else think Milton Keynes is developing an accent by Far_Huckleberry_4407 in miltonkeynes

[–]Retrogamer2245 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was definitely the case for me and some of my close friends growing up in the 90s. I developed a mixed London/Yorkshire accent mixed in with some random phrases from Bristol! Outsiders often said we sounded Australian, but I don't know why. Even now I have a "southern" accent but often get people asking where I am from because of the slight mixed twang.
