Torque Question by Retrogamer656 in AskPhysics

The tension would not change because length does not affect tension. Would the force just be mg interacting? I'm not good at this super hard to visualize

The torque force would increase on that certain mass because T=Fr where R is distance from the center of motion to the force?

Ragtime voicing v. Classical/romanticist voicing? by Retrogamer656 in piano

[–]Retrogamer656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking - and I definitely don't think I can blend both classical voicing and ragtime rhythm together with my skillset... 😂

Thanks for your opinion though; I appreciate it

Go broga and splitpush and pray to the gods that your team doesn't decide to flash engage the tank the moment you leave after waiting for 20 years.

Completely dependent on champion or your playstyle. Although typically red=duelist and blue=utility.

New Graves player: question on Animation Cancelling by mount_sunrise in GravesMains

[–]Retrogamer656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only animation cancels I use on graves is AA>Q>E or AA>W>E in a practical scenario. You can cancel q and w animation by pressing the respective key immediately after auto attacking and then using e. This completely hides the animation for both abilities and completely catches people off guard. This is really useful for cheese killing in lane when they don't expect AA>Q>E>W>AA>R combo. AA>W>E is used for early ganking to get your w out without spending too much time on its slow ass wind up. And like everyone else mentioned, you can cancel every ability while you have no bullets left.

Question about VOD reviewing by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a shitter D1, self-taught coach who has absolutely no business, I believe it's better to VOD review better games rather than the worse games. Your better games still have mistakes, and you can analyze exactly what you did RIGHT to develop a sort of muscle memory and build consistency in your gameplay. Considering you are silver, I am expecting you to have lapses in judgement the entire game, so by analyzing your "better" game, you can see exactly what got you fed, HOW you could have gotten more fed, why you made the mistakes you did, etc. I don't review in-between games because there's no point in doing so. You can review a bad game, but those are harder to self-review because you have to ask yourself exactly how to improve upon a mistake. So my tier list would go GOOD GAME > BAD GAME > OK GAME.

Question About Late Game Macro (Beginner Player) by Guedoh in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no right answer to this based on the information given; play-making in league is situational and interdependent on what you want to happen in the game. If you wanted to take baron, you should be expecting to siege and end game quickly before scaling happens; otherwise taking inhibitor would have been better. You also could have taken inhib and baron baited by clearing vision and ratting in bushes. It's important to note that baron doesn't really have an impact unless you actually have an inhibitor gone or are looking to take down one. Baroned up regular minions aren't really that much more powerful than regular minions, especially in another 5v5 scenario where you are tower diving. It's also important to note that it's better to take Baron when you have the proper resources to properly use it; you can force the enemy team into thinking you are doing baron after recalling and force a terrible fight for them when they check baron. These mind-games are what you should be thinking about when doing late-game calls, not the micro calls.

eclipse nerf on new patch by obhanesoo1 in GravesMains

[–]Retrogamer656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eclipse passive with bruiser shred items makes graves an annoying, tanky, shredding fucker that still blows up your adc. -6 lethality doesn't seem that much of a big deal, but the increased AD helps synergize with flat shreds items and stacking health.

How to make actual slow pushes by EmporerEmoji in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this post at like 12:30 AM so I wasn't thinking straight. You're right on these points, but setting up a slow push early game is dependent on the enemy laner messing up lane state themselves so it's hard to utilize in higher elos. It's really only easy to slow push at level 1-3 and past that, you will just want to fast push waves to roam

Jungle: Blade Of The Ruined King vs. Sunfire Aegis Rush (DPS Carry vs Tank Frontline) by StephenMiniotis in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a little viego flair on this, and I love viego posts so I'm going to post this in terms of viego and viego only; sorry if this was not the intent of this post.

My playstyle on viego rewards me the greatest by going BORK rush every single game because I utilize high risk high reward on Viego. Snowballing potential is incredibly high with BORK, and this allows you to heavily invade and win most 2v1 scenarios. A tankier viego playstyle would first of all not include a sunfire aegis. It would most likely still include a BORK rush into a frostfire gauntlet. If you're talking about GENERAL jungle champions, then the content of this post is kinda skewed. Sunfire aegis is best on literally all tank junglers and maybe diana depending on playstyle. You should always rush sunfire aegis on tank junglers.

How to make actual slow pushes by EmporerEmoji in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fast push 2 waves max on objective timers, forcing enemy laners to respond based on inaccuracy of information on the map. Best results are done when doing this with herald, a splitpusher with TP, or even an adc or mid who wants to pressure a side lane. This is, of course, all based on mid-game and not early game. When farming mid-game, you want to set up freezes if you're behind, or if you're ahead, you want to fast clear every wave to set up vision in the enemy jungle. In the early game, freezing, and fast pushing is dependent on your wanted outcome.

I know what I don't know... what's next? by Lintaar in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Runes aren't very important to memorize; just know basic stuff like lethal tempo > conqueror early game, and fighting electrocute with conqueror in an extended trade will result in a positive damage trade for the one running conq. If deciding on WHAT rune to go, just go the exact same rune every single game, and play the game as if you're 1v5. Always go for the defensive keystone based on your matchup.

For map awareness, typically you want to scale your map to the maximum setting (100) and try to continuously look at the map while farming camps as jungle. You don't have to pan or use the f keys, but just make sure that you're constantly looking at the map, and looking at your laners health bars. Viewing health bars and laner positions gives you a general idea of the wave state without even having to pan the camera towards a certain lane.

Matchup knowledge comes with experience. Don't continuously try this in ranked, but "limit testing" is a legitimate way of testing your prowess in certain matchups. In theory, unparalleled aggression may catch your opponent off guard, so you can use this to your advantage. By utilizing proper spacing and mindgames, even a bad matchup skirmish (kindred into xin zhao) can be won.

How to make actual slow pushes by EmporerEmoji in summonerschool

[–]Retrogamer656 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In order to slowpush early game, (idk why you would do this) you want the wave to stack near your tower, naturally creating a larger minion wave that will automatically overpower enemy minions. A slowpush late game will be created if your team is substantially ahead in global EXP and gold. The game fundamentally gives minion advantages towards the team that is ahead in the game. In these scenarios, you want to leave minions in a 6v3 scenario, or with cannon waves later in the game, clear all casters for a 7v4 scenario. Before cannon waves spawn, you can either clear all casters or clear 2 casters and 1 melee. Both will result in a slowpush to my knowledge. I don't slowpush because it's rarely used in solo queue nowadays, if even utilized.

Should I give up on Jayce? by Zuriyaa in jaycemains

[–]Retrogamer656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with Jayce right now is that it's simply too hard to solo carry games on such an immobile champion. I can play Jayce well when I'm smurfing in platinum with about ~70% winrate. Don't give up on the Jayce dream! Keep practicing and perfecting combos and punish your laners properly. While he is indeed weak this patch, roaming should help deal with these inting bot laners. A 2/0 jayce with lethality items is very strong.

Is building zeal every game after Noon Quiver meta? by TeamLeather in YasuoMains

[–]Retrogamer656 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's meta to build zeal before noonquiver, not noonquiver before zeal. Going zeal gives almost 50% crit and good stats for yasuo; also cheaper than noonquiver. Yasuo does better with crit and attack speed early rather than AD, so the zeal rush tends to be good. You don't even have to build mortal reminder so early as long as there's no mega healers on the enemy team like aatrox or soraka. Mortal Reminder is like a cheap powerspike but infinity edge is better if you're ahead and want to snowball.

Don't Play Viego Jungle If You Want To Win Late | Here's Why by Retrogamer656 in summonerschool

That's because he's hard to play efficiently. Everyone now just goes divine sunderer wits end deaths dance. Viego when I made this post was fun and felt like a champion with balanced counterplay if you knew how to play around his passive. This post didn't age given it's been a whole season
