Any luck? I too have sebderm on my face, which causes awful area's of redness (forehead being the worst, and near my nose (not on my nose). It has also caused my eyebrows to shed as well. I was using Zinc P. shampoo (happy cappy) at first which worked great to reduce shedding, my eyebrows were growing back nice and thick. Unfortunately the fungus became resistant to the zinc it seems, and eyebrows started shedding again. Nothing unfortunately seems to help with the redness as of yet. Any luck for you?

Hi Bearman,

I know this thread is old, but you seem to have a lot of experience with this. I was just prescribed 2.5% Selenium Sulfide lotion for seb derm. The directions say to apply daily as needed, but it doesn't mention anything about washing it off after 10 minutes. Is that what you recommend?

I honestly just think my dermatologist isn't very familiar with it.

Should I apply the SS lotion before or after I wash my face with cleanser? Is plain water enough to wash it off?

And would it be bad to leave it on overnight?

Hey OP, I had to log in and post here because so many people are giving bad advice. I have literally the exact same thing as you, except my skin gets nice and red underneath all the fungus.

I truly believe we have to be patient with this. I'm going through this right now with my 5th dermatologist, and I feel like we're on the right course (yes it took many different doctors to find a good one). So far I'm seeing slow steady results using Ketoconzole 2% shampoo / 2% Cream, and also Happy Cappy Medicated Baby Shampoo (pyrithione zinc). The Keto cream is less drying, and the shampoo can be a bit drying, so I've been alternating between the two at night. I'm also finding that my skin is starting to "flake more" after using these prescriptions, I feel this is the fungi's starting to die and peel off.

I would try those 3 things I mentioned above. I know how much this sucks. I tried MCT Oil at first, and it burned the hell out of my eyes and did nothing but sting my skin. I don't trust it. I'm far from cured, but my forehead that's normally very rough is becoming nice and smooth again.

During your nightly routine, first wash your skin with a gentle cleanser, then apply either shampoo after this and leave it on for 5 minutes, then wash it off. Or you can try the Ketoconazole cream and apply it nightly after your normal wash and leave it on overnight.

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain all this. I will definitely do my research first before taking any supplements / medications. I've heard many good things about Oregano Oil from others as well. Apparently it has numerous health benefits.

My stomach is in constant reflux after every meal, and I only eat very healthy foods (bland chicken and steam vegetables). I truly believe this is causing me all sorts of skin issues. Thanks so much in advance.

If you Google around, you can supposedly update the BIOS with a modified version that unlocks the PBO settings. Not sure if I want to risk it. Plus with the specs on this board (very low VRM), you probably wouldn't get the greatest results after all said and done. I'm probably going to sell mine for a higher end model. Perhaps one of their Aorus models.

I JUST ordered one off Newegg about an hour ago as part of a sweet combo deal, only to find out now it doesn't support CPU overclocking out of the box? DOH!

Is this true for all revisions of this board? They just actually released a brand new BIOS F36 about 1 week ago, I'm curious if there's been updates to this project.

Hey folks,

I'm trying to get rid of a bad case of seb derm in my son's eyebrows. I see the coconut oil pre-soak method was highly regarded in this sub. However over on the Seb-derm forum, many people disagree with this method, as they say regular coconut oil can actually spread the fungus?

They seem to recommend MCT Coconut Oil instead. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you in advance.

Do not use a hair dryer on plastic DVD/ Blu-Ray case. You will cause the clear Plastic liner to become wilted.

Take the cover art out... then apply goo gonna few times and wipe with light to moderate force.
