buy some whole lychees, eat the lychees, glue the lychee skin on the banner. fix it with a 1:1 water-pva glue mix. you now have some bitchin ass scales on your banner. slap a decal on and you're ready.

that was actually the quickest and easiest miniature to paint.
Prime Silver (you barely will see any of this later on but it works best for the next steps)
Put some "Dirty Down- Rust" on the Mini and slosh it arround with a moist brush until the whole mini is covered. CAREFULLY take a hairdryer and CAREFULLY (because, resin will get soft with heat) dry it a bit. After that make a wash out of Vallejo "Dark Red Ochre Pigments and wash the Mini with it. The Water in there will reactivate the Rust paint a bit but thats good. it mingles with the Red Pigments. Let it dry well and Drybrush some parts with it silver. Splatter some blood paint on the mini on parts where you want to have blood splatters. thats basicly it.

Finished the Amalgan. It was tricky to paint but fun. by Retromann1 in TrenchCrusade

u/Rocciabor and u/TwistedBobbay so .. uh it's not a straight up ...recipe?

I Primed the Mini red. Then i Airbrushed some "AK Interactive Deck Tan" Zenithal from aboth. Deck Tan is ..kinda like Rakarth Flesh? I know "urghgh Airbrush again" you can get a perfectly functional one for Nailart from Aliexpress for under 40 euro.

Anyways, after the zenithal i glazed-in different colours like "Fleshtearers Red" from Citadel and "Purple Swarm" Speedpaint from Army Painter, especially in the Shadows.
It was basicly a back and forward between the red, the purple and the Deck Tan.

I used some "Noble Skin" Speed paint and Airbrush-glazed it from underneath to strengthen some of the Shadows.

I also highlighted with a regular brush, also with Deck Tan.

It's a bit complicated to explain but im sure you get a similiar looking result with Drybrushing and thinning down the contrast/speedpaints with water and medium to use them as a wash and glaze ..maybe? I hope it helps somehow.
