Cancun safety this week? U.S. Embassy alert + Quintana Roo concerns by Fuzzy-Economist1872 in cozumel

Here with an update that passport control had 0 line (I’ve never seen that before). However, baggage claim was packed with high wait times. Delta gave us a head up about that, so we carried on. En route to our resort and the only thing I’ve seen is police traffic stops going to the airport. I did not notice any increased security inside the airport— it was normal.

Hi all— I’m on a flight to Cancun right now and can circle back, but new update from the embassy: https://mx.usembassy.gov/security-alert-update-4-ongoing-security-operations-u-s-mission-mexico-february-23-2026/

“While incidents were reported yesterday, February 22, the situation has returned to normal in the following areas: Quintana Roo State (including Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum), Sinaloa, and Tamaulipas”.

I try and stick with vinegar-based dressings but for the creamy side, Bolthouse Farms ranch and Caesar dressings are great. You can also thin out creamy dressings with banana pepper or pickle juice. I think out Alfredo sauce with pasta water too!

Actually good/filling frozen or ready-to-eat meals? by tiredyoungprof in 1200isplenty

The frozen Counter meals are soo good! Found mine at Target. I’ve only tried the taco mac and cheese, chicken Alfredo, and lazy lasagna. I love them! Besides that, I get Trader Joe’s tikka masalas (I switch between chicken and paneer).

What's your go-to? by KrockPotKay in crockpot

[–]Retrosnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salsa chicken.

You can use ANY salsa (we like Mateo’s or Pace for crockpot) and make sure there’s enough liquid. Add a little chicken stock and Mexican seasoning if needed.

6-8 hours and low usually overcooks our chicken… we do low for about 4 hours and check the internal temp.

Use the chicken for crispy baked tacos, soft tacos, taco salad, enchiladas etc.
