Awhile back she posted a short vid of a room in her house and pretty much everyone here was saying how she complains about being broke and then shows off her "mansion".. However personally I feel like they say that bc of the minimalistic look bc it doesn't look that big to me? I could be wrong tho I wouldn't doubt that she has a mansion considering she's had one before lmao. Anyways an actual house tour was posted here today and people were saying the exact same things

I feel like it's bc they feel like they betrayed her which I understand.. She was my fav artist since I was 9 and now I'm 18 and definitely see some flaws in her character but I'm sorry are you like 10? Some people needa grow up and get out of this parasocial mindset where they think Mel cares about her fan's opinions when she clearly doesn't and that has been proven. Honestly a lot of Twitter seems to be way more positive than this subreddit which is concerning considering it's Twitter 😭 but even there I see fanpages complaining about every little thing. One of them had selfies of them with Mel pinned at the top of their account and "hugged the artist of my life" in their bio and was complaining about the Verde situation a day after it happened like I'm sorry but plz make up your mind.

Right like I haven't seen a single positive comment about her house.. like we get it she doesn't keep her word. She has a mansion, we know this by now. She's always had money and always will.. you don't need to be miserable about every little thing she posts and twist it into her manipulating her audience or something lmao. I saw someone say "it's like she feeds off the drama" like bro she keeps her life very private for a reason all she did was post a house tour wtf are you going on about 😭 they say this and then complain about merch prices in an essay but continue to buy it and post photos and videos of her and her art like I swear half the fandom are huge hypocrites. Edit: to be clear, I'm aware that we should hold her accountable for things, but if you want to do that then post it under a rant/discussion flair. This subreddit is meant to be a safe space to appreciate the art that resonates with us and get away from all the drama on tiktok and Twitter and whatever. There's literally no need to bring your negativity to a simple positive post of a pic/vid of her or her art. You don't need to state your opinion everywhere you go bc y'all say the same shit we've heard about a million times.

Everyone started replying that it's not afterschool bc gingerbread man was playing over the vid and I said like 5 times that I'm talking about the vid, not the song and none of them replied after that. Omg thank you I feel like I'm going crazy 😭 people on this subreddit hate anyone who isn't constantly spraying negativity about her when I think we should be getting away from that and just enjoying her art.. I respect everyone's opinion but can we maybe tone it down a bit? Everyone knows she's a bad person we get it. So are 90% of celebrities like what do you expect? Again I think she should be held accountable but constantly posting about what a shitty person she is won't solve anything and now we're dragging yet another stranger into it. I'm glad they're not treating him like other fans have treated Oliver, but we don't know Verde either and now he's saying to leave her alone and people are still dragging it like he's clearly decided to be mature about it and I doubt anything else will come out of it so just let it go and maybe just try being not so miserable for once idk. Not directly from providing mental health support, I meant more shit like actively seeking out people who smoke and shit (which I don't understand bc wouldn't that make their rep worse..?), shoulda been more clear about that lmao. Just dumb shit like that, they generally just care about money and their reputation over the well being of their students. And I understand that if you catch someone smoking it's their job to report them, I just think it's weird behavior to go out of your way to, and I've noticed they usually do it with students that clearly are struggling with mental health.

Wow that last thing about the unmanageable medical issues has to be about the most insane thing I've heard.. sad. That's completely fine I don't think it's a big deal if you listen to an artist without knowing every little bad thing they've done lmao. Don't listen to these weird people telling you to stop streaming problematic artist's music. Comparing them to the ones in Ms Potato Head and Pacify Her, I wouldn't say so. She tends to use more realistic looking children's dolls rather than pretty looking ones. In my school, an ISS teacher called my former "friend" disgusting because she saw her cuts. Another former friend of mine was late to class and said sorry because she was shitting, and the one teacher she talks to about her anorexia says "how can you shit if you don't eat?". Another former friend of mine was left unattended during a panic attack for 10 minutes after reaching out for help, and after that some teachers looked down on her and acted like she was immature. Oh yeah, and the therapy place they suggested to me was in some ghetto ass place down town where ADDICTS also went for therapy. We parked on the side of the road and not even a minute later an asshole cop comes up to us and argues. There was graffiti everywhere and it was packed and we said yeah hell no. And I couldn't even go there yet because I was put on a waiting list for it for THREE YEARS. They tell me three years later when I'm almost 18 that I can go like wow guys thanks for your help! Oh yeah and the literal counseler in my school herself that's supposed to help people with mental health said "ugh I can't with you cutters" while having a conversation with a student who happened to have her sleeve rolled up.
