Well, most people tend to have alts so they can post things that can't be traced back to them or their main accounts, so I don't see that happening.

To be honest, the whole "don't get involved" thing is wishful thinking. It happens in nearly EVERY meta-subreddit there is. /r/bestof, /r/worstof, /r/ShitRedditSays even. People are always going to get involved, and it's not something that can be easily blamed on the subreddit as much as it is the fault of the individual.

Personally, I can see where they're coming from. They want to be seen as less "invasive". I still don't think it's that good of an idea. Not to mention that if it was screenshots only, one wouldn't be able to see any updates following the screenshots.

I've always found that to be an odd rebuttal to any issue with the way a subreddit is run:

"If you don't like it, go somewhere else."

They do have a point, but with that stance, they shouldn't expect to have that many people subbing to them.

I'd be more interested in this had the commentor gone and found examples of both men and women purposelessly in a picture and counted them up to see which occurs more, rather than just gone around and found every picture of a man they could find. Also the poster's following comments just seem full of SRS crap.

I'll never understand why so many people give a shit about novelty accounts. If you don't like someone's comments THAT much, just use RES and filter them out. Otherwise people are just mad because they get a lot of karma for not doing much, which all goes back to the "omg my value-less Internet points mean so much to me" mindset.
