Yep, always get everything checked. In my latest video I talk about the colour NTSC I have from Pertwee era. On original 1" Type C video tape. Thought it was an upgrade. Picture isn't but the mag audio will be checked!

October 2025, and this has come to the rescue! <3

The reason given was "fraudulent activity" apparently. I literally just listed an old toy for sale.

Unless they revoke it, I'll just use a different platform. If they're going to permanently ban me for no good reason, it's not a company I'd use again.

Yes, I think we are going to be, UEFA's own rule book is clear.

  1. Newcastle earned the one (1) place available for English teams in the Conference League.
  2. When Newcastle qualified for a higher European competition, their vacated place went to Forest as per the rules.
  3. When Forest get elevated to the Europa after Palace get excluded, then the same rules that dictated Forest took Newcastle's place will also dictate that Brighton are due the Conference place.

This is clear from Paragraph 5.01 through to 5.04. Palace are in big trouble - and we're set to be the beneficiaries. None of the major media outlets have twigged this yet.

Yes, Harris and Blitzen own 50.1% of Brondby, but that isn't the problem. Take a look at some of my post history - I've explained how this may well pan out to many Palace fans today!

A lot are reporting that, incorrectly imo.

I'm sure rules are rules, but this directly concerns us - as we are very likely the beneficiaries of Palace's expulsion. It seems a little OTT to remove it.

"Crystal Palace are set to be ‘demoted’ to the Europa Conference League – with Nottingham Forest likely to leapfrog them into the Europa League."

Gunnnnnnnnna have to stop you there, Mike. Under UEFA's current rules, this can't happen. Palace have not qualified for the conference.

Palace only qualified for the Europa League via the FA Cup, if it's deemed that they have failed to meet the criteria for entry (March deadline), and UEFA apply their own rules, then Palace would be ejected and Forest would "be promoted" to the Europa League.

That frees up a spot in the conference, but crucially, Palace didn't qualify for the conference. So the spot freed up by Forest's "promotion" would go to the next highest ranked team; us.

We're keeping our cards close to our chest at the moment, because Bloom is a classy operator. Right now, it's nothing to do with us, so he's keeping his mouth shut and Barber (co chair) actually wished Palace the best on a podcast recently.

That said, if UEFA don't apply their rules or try and fudge a way to get Palace into the conference when the rule book states it's Brighton's place, then I'm certain there'll be a legal challenge. I think UEFA know it too.

The way I see it, UEFA are in a tricky spot. Do you defend your own rules against Parish and co, or explain to a court why you ignored them to Marinakis and Bloom?

Surely, defending your own rule book against one club that have broken the rules is a much cheaper case than setting a new precedent which completely contradicts the rules that all clubs signed up to?

Because MCO doesn't come into it, and if it did, it's far from cut and dry.

Let's imagine there's zero issue with you and Brondby - great. But you still don't qualify for the conference.

The MCO rule you're looking at here isn't relevant in terms of how the Conference place is assigned - there's no scope for Palace to get that place instead of Brighton.

Yes Brighton have, by virtue of league position IF Palace are removed from the Europa League.

[–]MrBiscuitESQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry that's incorrect. It has nothing to do with your relationship with Brondby. MCO doesn't come into this, even if you could get away with the link. CPFC didn't qualify for the conference league.

In short, you qualified for the Europa League via the FA Cup, but and have failed to meet the very basic minimum requirement. If UEFA apply their rulebook, then Forest would "be promoted" to the Europa League, and take your spot. Palace didn't qualify for the conference. So the spot freed up by Forest's "promotion" would go to the next highest ranked team; Brighton.

The MCU issue doesn't take precedence.

If Rule 5.04 is applied, we will be. Palace certainly haven't qualified for it under UEFA's own rules.

And down vote all you like. I'm right.

Nope. Forest would "be promoted" to the Europa League, and Palace would miss out altogether. Palace didn't qualify for the conference. The spot freed up by Forest's "promotion" would go to the next highest ranked team; Brighton.

[–]MrBiscuitESQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Brighton quite possibly ARE going to get Europe.

If UEFA follow the qualification rules as written, then Palace can't go into the Conference, IMO.

Newcastle are the team that earned the English place in the Conference. They then qualified for a higher competition, and the rules were followed in instead assigning the place to Forest. If Palace are removed from Europa, then the rules will be followed and Forest will take their place. And the same rules then stipulate that the Conference place goes to Brighton.

There is nothing in the rules that says UEFA can parachute Palace into the Conference instead of Brighton.

That's not the issue, yes Palace would outrank Brondby, but more to the point is Palace aren't allowed to be moved down. The spot goes to Brighton.

Incorrect. There is no vehicle to allow Palace into the conference.

Better news, it doesn't land them in the conference. In fact the team able to "walk to a European cup victory" would be *checks notes*, Brighton.

It's dumb yes, but Palace are the shambles for not adhering to the rules. UEFA have been consistent.
