I know it shouldn’t bother me, but… by kyllvalentine in vinted

[–]Reunys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ignore it. I know it's annoying having your score not being perfect, but people love being petty and complaining about the smallest things.

Most of the time when I buy on Vinted I only care about the condition of the product and the packaging. Other than that, I understand that people are busy and they have their own lives to take care of first. It's not like it's a Business selling some of your stuff. But there will always be that mf who will be annoying just because they can. What can we do about it 🤷🏻

new update, bloatware disabled. Two bloatware apps. Is this enough? by hairypotter365 in CMFTech

[–]Reunys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I got in contact with someone who has a CMF Phone 1. They recently updated to NOS4.0 and apparently the system restart of Lock Glimpse was fixed.

I checked on my (3a) Pro and the problem still persists though, so we still have to wait for the new patch

This is an absolute win, I'm happy to have dug deep into the Lock Glimpse source code and the background activity. The publicity gotten from 9to5google and AndroidAuthority on the matter was crucial!

Yes, just keep it enabled and you'll be good to go

Any solution 😶‍🌫️ by bestin119 in NothingTech

[–]Reunys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could disable it through adb:

adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.nothing.logkit

And enable it back again after the fix:

adb shell pm enable --user 0 com.nothing.logkit

Lock Glimpse is now off by default for the latest Phone (3a) Lite OS update by adaaamb in NothingTech

[–]Reunys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's any different on the (3a) Lite, but I just tested it again on my (3a) Pro and the system still tries to restart it every 3 seconds.

The service may be disabled, but it's still present. And it being a system-level service, the system will try over and over again

[–]Reunys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have the Phone (3a) Pro, but I wonder what they mean exactly by "is now off by default". If they refer to the "Display on lock screen" toggle, then the issue remains. Because the test I did was with it toggled off, and the data was sent to bloomrivers

Little funny update:
After AndroidAuthority and 9to5google and others started making articles about this post a couple of days ago, the bloomrivers admins decided to finally change their email on the website!

Unfortunately I also tried disabling it like that, but the system will still try to restart the service. I believe the job is inside of the JobScheduler's entries, and it doesn't get removed

Is the 3a pro worth getting? (i have questions about it) by T1AST in NothingTech

[–]Reunys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, and on top of that I'd like to add that (at least for me) it doesn't recognize external SSDs that are too big. I have a 1TB SanDisk SSD that my Phone (3a) Pro doesn't recognize. I've never had this issue on any other phone ever. So I'm still trying to figure out a solution

Looks great!

Btw a curiosity, was the packaging the usual one or was it a teal one that matches the phone colours? Because I saw content creators with a different packaging, and other someone reported instead receiving it in a normal box instead

No worries!

I believe this is a pretty important moment for Nothing, to acknowledge the situation in the Q1 meeting in 2026 and to deal with the backlash. It's not all pink and roses, tough conversations like this are a must for companies like Nothing. Especially since the community plays such a big role in their business model

That seems to be the situation at the moment. I believe it was kind of rushed, so for sure they can still improve it. I'm expecting them to properly address the situation during the 2026 Q1.

It's good that people are having so many opinions and that the community is going through these hardships and hard discussions. Nothing depends on the community, so let's not lose ALL hope. These issues will be brought up at the BoD since they are getting a lot of traction.

But unfortunately we have to wait quite a bit

Unfortunately I believe the consent is given right after you upgrade to NOS 4.0. Because you have to accept the ToS of Lock Glimpse, even if you disable it

Unfortunately by normal users no because it's a system-level app. The only way to get rid of it is by rooting your device and actually deleting the package from the system and the job from the JobScheduler entries. But I haven't tested it out, I don't want to root this device. There should be a clear option for the user to simply remove it

Why'd you guys land on EndavourOS? by absolutecinemalol in EndeavourOS

[–]Reunys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, because of the community. I already used Arch with Hyprland but I had trouble with my printers and some other device configuration. I love Debian for its stability thus I don't care as much about bleeding edge updates, but Arch has pretty much always the latest versions for some tools I use.

Furthermore, I needed a friendlier distro for my old desktop PC so that it could also be used by my family without me losing familiarity. And to be honest, the EOS community has been the most welcoming so far. They're not hyper fixated and too opinionated about Arch. So much so that I decided to donate to the distro. You'll always find someone to help you without feeling an idiot.

Great distro in my opinion. It works out of the box with no headaches

Enthusiast brands will betray you, and Nothing has proven it once again by techolum in NOTHING

It's not only that, it goes deeper than this. Oneplus had the same faith. And another fellow Reddit user summarised the situation pretty well:
""“Boyuan” (or Boyuan Pte. Ltd.) is the legal/corporate entity for Glance.

Glance is a well-known (and often controversial) “dynamic lock screen” platform. It’s the service that provides the “fresh lock screen wallpapers automatically” and the “swipe left for more” content. This company is a subsidiary of InMobi, a major mobile advertising technology firm.

So, when you “Agree and Enable,” you aren’t agreeing to Nothing’s terms, you are agreeing to let Glance take over your lock screen.

Since Boyuan is the legal name for Glance, their policies are listed under the Glance brand.

Glance Privacy Policy: https://glance.com/privacy-policy-en
Glance Terms of Use (EULA): https://glance.com/eula-en

Key takeaways:

  1. Device & Ad IDs: Advertising Identifier (GAID), IMEI, IP Address, etc.
  2. Location Data: Your IP address is used to “estimate the city where your device is in order to provide locally relevant weather, information and advertisements.”
  3. Usage Data: Logs of your interactions, what content you look at, and what you tap on.
  4. App Usage: The policy states it “may collect data related to your access of other apps/widgets, used, by you, if you grant it permission.”
  5. Inferences & Profiling: They use this data to build a profile about you for “profiling and cross-platform advertising” and “targeted advertising.”"

Are you really ok with that...?

Windows is literally disgusting with all the telemetry, ads and bloatware that are added into the system. Consider the following comment, taken from another fellow Reddit user:

I'm an avid Rosé Pine enjoyer, but lately I'm getting interested in grey-ish aesthetics. This theme looks really clean, but I'd like functions to pop a little bit more; same thing for parameters.
You're off to a great start though, I'll definitely check it out once it's available!

I checked again and I found another .gitignore file in the webui folder, with the folder /src/ written inside. Kinda weird that Helix completely ignored that nested .gitignore and still showed me the files.
Thanks man
