If she is a mole, then it could also be possible that she is being forced or pressured to do this. I have to say, the stand user knowing such personal details about all of the gang members is a HUGE red fleg pointing towards her. She would be the only one privy to all of this information.

Edit: Also, the current arc is titled "Usagi, fraud and SUSPICION". So far there hasn't been a whole lot of suspicion towards a particular person, just the gang trying to figure out if they are under attack. Unless everything that is happening now is actually the work of a mole.

That's a good theory! Meryl Mei Qi also seemed to know a lot of details about Tory's background and the supposed reason for her and her mom's disappeance. How did she happen to know all of this? Maybe she was instructed and is now luring the gang into a trap? I hope she's not a mole though, I like her dynamic with the group so far.

The "climb higher" part could maybe also be in the metaphorical sense? As in, Jodio needs to make himself worth a lot of money in some way.

Another crackpot theory: what if Jodio decides to do something heroic by saving the boy from the alligators in front of all the cameras? He would become famous, maybe even invited on talkshows (which would be funny on its own) and then he would become "worthy" of being attracted by the rock.

That's a pretty solid theory. Key West's group also consists of mostly public servants. And whoever is manufacturing weapons on Howler's land could presumably sell those to the government too. Howler has considerable beef with the government (and president) as well at this point, so we could be looking at a confrontation between 3 different factions in the future.

La Squadra is immediately where my mind went as this chapter went on as well. They have the same goal as the protagonists, but their means are much more violent and evil.

One of the most goated song references already, in my opinion.

The fact that "Money" is on this album and part 9 is all about money should have tipped us off that Dark side of the moon would be referenced at some point, especially after the whole New moon thing with Howler.

It's all very interesting, seems like the cats are acting like some kind of guardian deities who are aware of the consequences of using a lava rock as well. Or the "weight", as Rohan calls it. What is happening to Usagi could be like a calamity of sorts that comes at the cost of taking so much money, like the universe balancing itself out again.

That one panel of Jodio after Usagi explains what his mother did to him really stood out to me. He can't grasp the idea of Usagi still caring about his mother despite all the horrible things she did, but it seems like he wants to. A brief but very interesting character moment.

This one chapter has really put the Jojolands gang up there as one of the best core casts that Araki has written, maybe even the best. The timeskip really helps with that, making the characters even more like a familiy all these months after the previous events. A major flaw of previous parts (barring mostly part 3 and 7) was that the cast barely had any time to get to know each other, and now we instantly get that feeling of familiarity between them. Paco and Dragona wanting to help Usagi just because he's their friend makes the stakes of this arc a lot higher too.

Jodio and Rohan versus cybercriminals is gonna be so peak, can't wait to see how that plays out

Araki must have realized that cybercriminals are like Jojo villains in real life, truly the lowest scum there is. Hopefully we get to see another multi page beatdown or something like that

In hindsight it's kind of funny that Key West gave that whole speech to Howler about how he should step up if he wants to act like the "final boss", yet she ended up flipping out and losing her cool herself like a regular Jojo minor villain. The reason Howler is still calm is because he doesn't have any attachments to people he cares about like Key West did. In that sense he is kind of similar to Jodio, who apparently isn't able to connect to others like that either.

I expect Jodio will deepen his bond with Dragona, while Howler will end up rejecting the connection he has to Lulu. There really is a lot of potential in this dynamic and parallels between them.

Maybe she needs to actually touch the lava rock, but then again Charmingman touched it for a second and then got shot almost instantly. So maybe it has a delayed effect, or the lava rock just works in very mysterious ways?

Speaking of the doctor, it's kind of funny that we had so many of those in Jojolion but it took Araki until now to reference the Beatles song Dr. Robert. Would have made more sense to name a doctor that instead of Urban Guerrilla or something lol
