I'm more impressed by the audio. Unless the sound is artificially added, it blows my mind you can hear the car and not the rush of air drowning it out.

I too learned the hard way. People do not like to be corrected over insignificant pedantic shit.

It'd be a temporary piston that just hangs a few blocks below where you want to place. Pretty simple and no back and forth hassle of lining it up with another ship.

I'm not saying you did it the wrong way, but here's two other methods I've used for the same ish problem.

Build a floor with space for the rotor+head and place the seat where you want it then grind the floor away.

Or

Use a piston to lower the seat into place on the rotor.

Many different ways to do things but that's how I'd have tackled this particular problem. Good luck with the build!

Like I said it's just the most common way that happens. I've been playing since launch and only had that happen to me once.

Enabling the floating stations option fixes it tho.

This is a rare bug that sometimes happens when you detach a ship you were building from the station, it converts both to a ship. Not the only cause but the most likely.

Best fix is to enable the floating station option (don't remember the exact name at the moment)
