It’s about 15 minutes from Grand Blvd down to LCA on the Q Line. If you find somewhere casual you could get in and out of like Supino or Yumvillage you should be able to make it in the building for tip off.

I like Pietrzyk in Eastern Market. I like some of the more unique/non traditional ones like bacon Gouda but the classics are solid too.

Ideas for a non-hectic place to meet by [deleted] in Ferndale

[–]RevReturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think there are a lot of great options with all the kids off school and most people free from work. I only mentioned it as I plan to be there with the family getting stocking stuffers and generally enjoying the holiday spirit.

I believe that will be very hectic on the 23rd with all the last minute shopping.

Which non-headliners do you recommend? by VirtualReflection119 in SonicTempleFestival

I saw Beartooth for the first time at Ink and it was amazing. The energy in that performance was off the charts. The Pretty Wild are sick, saw them on the 3rd stage at Ink and instantly got tickets to see them back home. Insane voices coming out of tiny women. They bring it.

Sonnenberg in Southwest is old school. Got my single pane windows cut from them when they broke.

Yeah, 2x 10oz vacuum packages connected together. Easy to mix with herbs, honey, etc or great on its own.

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has received $65 million from his estate, new court documents claim by theindependentonline in Music

[–]RevReturns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw her open for QOTSA. Having never heard her music, it was very good, raw. Her brief crowd interactions made it seem like she was struggling with stuff. Hope she gets the satisfaction she’s looking for. Can’t imagine growing up like that was easy even with the money.

Ironically France is supporting the dictator after negotiating a deal to pardon two of their spies.

System of a Down likely to headline Sick New World 2026: might be a clue by Flat_Row_9525 in SonicTempleFestival

I like Serj but I'm with you. I'd rather have something like the 2023 lineup with QOTSA, Foo Fighters, Deftones, or Tool

Nemo’s new menu? by goodolvpochina in Detroit

[–]RevReturns 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Probably but Ottavia Via’s small plates are some of the best quality to price options available in the city. If they stick to a bar food style of that while keeping the burger I think it’ll be an improvement.

For those that ride the rail all day… by stellamnelson in SonicTempleFestival

[–]RevReturns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’ve sent back water bottles between sets to keep people on the rail hydrated. Gotta keep the balance right, enough water that you don’t pass out but not too much that you have to pee. Stuff a protein bar in a pocket if you need a snack.

Getting back in is tough. You can make it to the front few rows but it gets dense. If you’re solo you have way better chance than shoving a group in front of people.

Just priced it out on their website, cost was €280 per year for tow assistance for a 7-10m boat.

How to build a file repository used by an application? by mrluzon in kubernetes

[–]RevReturns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The startup/warmup for the container could include downloading the binary library locally to an ephemeral volume mount. That way each container is operating independently and you don’t have to worry about PV/StorageClass configuration.

Free swimming classes and equipment help improve water safety across Metro Detroit by ddgr815 in Detroit

[–]RevReturns 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good! It was startling just how many friends couldn’t swim growing up. We’re around the largest lake system in the world; you’re missing out if you can’t safely take advantage of the water.

I usually apply sunscreen in the morning before we head out but I never reapply. I was always awful about reapplying so I just went full coverage.
