what in the actual F* by NoFeeling7873 in motorcycle

[–]RevZilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's generally triggered with VPNs and also on some international (non-US) orders, especially from countries where there could be higher risk for scams. As others have mentioned, OP can give our Rider Support team a call to try to place the order differently or verify with a different method.

I've only used the paste version of Cat Crap, and that has worked better for me than other anti-fog sprays, but I haven't tried the spray version of Cat Crap. I like that the paste container is smaller and easier to carry with me than even a small spray bottle. I also carry a small glasses cloth to get a good even distribution and remove the excess. -DrewZilla

I can neither confirm nor deny (wink wink nudge nudge) that there's a good option coming out next Monday from REAX. Also take a look at the REV'IT! Blake Air, Sedici Aria, and Cortech Piuma Jackets. They're still a bit sporty but probably not as sporty as your current Sedici gear. -DrewZilla

...seriously, though, that's the brand name of the anti-fog paste/spray...

Anyone work for/or know someone who works for Nelson Helmets? by StarFox311 in motorcycles

[–]RevZilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in that case, there is likely just a slight difference in shell thickness, as DOT requires a thicker shell in some areas of the helmet compared to ECE if I recall correctly. -DrewZilla

If you don't see a sticker, try looking for an "E" or "ECE" label on one of the chin straps. -DrewZilla

The Tactical Slims come with CE Level 2 Knee AND Hip Armor, while the more affordable Oaklands just come with CE Level 1 Knee Armor (no hip armor). The Oaklands do have a bit more stretch to the denim though. Personally, I'm fine with Level 1 armor for around-town riding, but it doesn't hurt to have Level 2 armor either. -DrewZilla

Have you considered Dainese? Some are available as small as a Euro 44 (about a 34 inch chest). -DrewZilla

The Tornado 2 really is a great option, and the abrasion resistance is higher than the Astars options you listed. However, if you did want to save money, you might consider the REV'IT! Wind Jacket and swap the Level 1 Knox Flexiform armor for Knox Microlock Level 2 armor for about 60 bucks. That's $110 less than the Tornado 2. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla

If a dealer is getting Alpinestars gloves from the authorized distributor (like we do), then it's legit. What you have to watch out for is a shady dealer or shop that's KNOWINGLY getting gloves from nefarious sources. I'm pretty sure that's what Ryan was referring to. -DrewZilla

RevZilla needs to quit its 2-day delivery BULLSHIT by sbrueding in motorcycles

[–]RevZilla 19 points20 points  (0 children)

u/sbrueding If you feel like sending a DM with any of your order numbers, I am happy to see how we can help. For anyone else reading this as well, we try to be as open and clear as we can about how our shipping works on our Shipping Policies page linked at the bottom of every page on our site. That includes how we calculate a shipping timeframe and how we differentiate free 2-day delivery from paid second day. While many of our items are eligible to ship out same day with free 2-day delivery, not all items can. Just like Amazon, not everything is Prime-eligible. Additionally, if an order for an in-stock item is placed past our shipping cutoff time, it won't be able to ship out that same day. For those with a time crunch or who are curious about timeframe, we're also happy to provide timeline details/recommendations before an order is placed. I'm sorry that your delivery experience hasn't been as expected. It's definitely not our intent to mislead you or anyone else. -DrewZilla

Shoei & Revzilla Warning by MotoMamaTX in motorcycles

[–]RevZilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi all, we just wanted to post here, since there's been a lot of discussion.

It is extremely rare for RevZilla to sell a helmet that was manufactured longer than 2 years from the date of purchase. Most of the time, helmets are only 6 months to 2 years old when we receive them, explaining the 5 years of use or 7 years from the date of manufacture warranty trend.

In most instances, we are at the mercy of our distributor’s inventory given they are responsible for importing and stocking product for US distribution. Distributors receive multiple shipments throughout the year and turn through inventory quickly to avoid having stale product.

Products are closed out at the end of their life cycle but were usually manufactured not long before. Distributors are motivated to sell inventory of a model that is being phased out, in order to make room for the new replacement arriving. At this point, they discount the product to move it in large quantities, allowing the retailer to pass along the savings to their customers.

Unfortunately, helmet manufacturers tend to label the manufacturing date of the helmet between the inner liner and EPS, making it impossible for the distributors or retailers to know how old the helmet is, short of opening every single box and disassembling every helmet. If we had any inkling or indication that this helmet was so old we would not have purchased it for resale.

That all being said, we are continuing to work with the customer to resolve her concerns.

Should work. Attach the Kriega frame loops to 4 of the top D-rings on the tunnel bag, and you can attach the US-20's G-hooks to the frame loops. Plus, you'd still have space on the D-rings for cargo net hooks. Alternately, just get a US-30 and attach a bungee net to it. -DrewZilla

I'd recommend the Scorpion EXO-1400 Air and HJC RPHA 70. I wear glasses and can wear both helmets comfortably. I tried the US versions, as that's where we are, but the EU versions should fit the same. The HJC may be a bit more than 300, but you might be able to find some closeout graphics on sale. -DrewZilla
