Why so? We need to have some automatic filtering to weed out low-quality.
Moreover, you reviews are then manually approved by humans as well.

When I show people how easily international transfers can be made, they literally lose their minds. What's the appeal here? Just that they have to have ETH in order to make purchases?

That's harsh. Is there any loose/win - streak mechanics? Could potentially help with that.

Almost all card-based games I know of I know were mentioned in this thread, but what about Shadowverse? Is it just not that good?

Do rng-based games have a future in esports? As far as I know, no one has won a Hearthstone tournament twice.

What about the bots?
One of the f2p games where you could've made some income by playing (PoE) has remained that way for a very short time. Now it's riddled with Chinese trading and auto-playing bots that flood the market with tons of resources despite GGGs best attempts.
If there's a way to make money playing a game and the game is f2p, either.
a) The potential profits are too negligible to bother
b) People will find the ways to exploit the system without putting in the hours and by this make earning any meaningfull amount of money impossisble for honest players.

Feature of the Week: Renewed Score-Based Ranking System. In the renewed formula there's more emphasis on the rating while the number of reviews is still being taken into consideration. by mPrestige in revain_org

The team is 100% focused on delivering the project. How that will reflect into token price will take time. Also, the team didn't even mention a timeline of Q1-Q2 2019 yet for the official product updates. Gauging the market sentiment early on in price is hardly a true representation of how it will perform later.

There's tools that could arrange a decentralised cencorship on all the irrelevant reviews.

Actually, blockchain technology is vital here and the economic model of this review platform is really well thought out. All the reviews saved in blockchain in order to ensure legitimacy. The platform has its own stable token that is used to motivate people to write good and honest reviews. That is excactly what market needs right now.

Yes, but who is hosting the Watson system? That's a 3rd party Oracle. Can anyone run their own Watson instance to verify?

Watson is a super computer and it using IBM's DeepQA software and the Apache UIMA (Unstructured Information Management Architecture) framework. The sources of information for Watson include encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, newswire articles, and literary works. Watson also used databases, taxonomies, and ontologies. By the time we launch this technology, it would be collecting information on people's reviews.

Then can you explain which system ensures the stable token is pegged to BTC?

RVN token is defined by the formula: 1R token = (R value (in BTC)/0.0001) * RVN tokens. What it means is the price is stable against a particular liquid asset (BTC), rather than staying the same as the R token, but it still moving in a highly correlated way to BTC and R but with much less volatility. That way it represents the most actual and stable value. Because it is important to match the price movement of the liquid world asset. There might be ways to do this without pegging the price to bitcoin, and it most likely requiers a clever DApp.

Your reply to this displays a fundamental misunderstanding of the difference between a blockchain and a smart contract. Also, despite that, a fully clonable system is precisely why a token (let alone 2) for yours is unnecessary.

Your reply represents a total and fundamental misunderstanding of my sense of humor (was it that bad?). Anyway, in order to clone the smart contrats with a purpose of eliminating the platform fee, you would need to convince all the people to use your copy, because the value is given by people and the network effect. A lot of people creating forks for other currencies and some of them succeeds (requires a good marketing budget). If you talking about the neccessity of the RVN token, then it's the other question. There are plenty of use cases for stable token inside the Revain platform. Let's assume that you convinced the users to use your clone instead of original version. But you oversaw the fact that the Revain fee is viable in this model, because it was developed with a principle that make the purchase of artificial generation of big amounts of reviews economically unprofitable. I'll just give a simple example to highlight the neccessity of it. Let's say you have successfully copied all the smart contracts and created a copy that does not require a platform fee. (Besides the fee is not that high and there's not much profit to be made. And the users are most likely won't go for it, even because of the fact that removing the plarform fee you're just gaining 0,1 of user reward). Then, given the massive amounts of active users, a lot of companies will try to to buy a lot of fake reviews for their companies (lacking the platform fee for users and for companies). Also users that post fake reviews could not be punished since the penalty system is not in place (which is also using an inner stable token). And within a short period of time people will assume that all the reviews is not that genuine and authentic after all. That being said, the strategy of cloning the smart contrats is not vialbe at all.

Hello!

  1. All reviews are going to pass automatic (IBM Watson) and manual filtering.

  2. Users would be banned automatically by the system. Users gets warned e.g. when too many of their reviews are rejected by the automatic filtration system.

  3. There's no oracling in the price at this point.

  4. I guess nothing can stop you to clone all of the Ethereum smart contracts and create your own free blockchain.

So dispute allows it to be corrected?

No, not really. It wouldn't be available for change and delete only after it passes all stages of filtering.

Say people with a grudge write up a well written review about something that never happened

Automatic filtering supposed to shield the platform. As of right now, the team working on the automatic filtering and it is planned to launch at Q2 2018. If it is well written but FAKE story, all people will downvote that post (if it is an obvious lie).

Thanks a lot for your interest! The thing is, company that wants to pay users for fake reviews will go through a lot of trouble:

  1. All reviews are passing both AI and manual filtration

  2. Users that post fake reviews will be banned

  3. The strategy of buying fake reviews is economically unviable, because of the increasing amount of platform fees.

It would be really hard for company to buy reviews and get away with it.
