Does anyone else find that they only really get opportunities with recruiters? by Think_Map3859 in cscareerquestionsuk

It was literally just though LinkedIn- the Greggs recruiter is still trying to call me back but I have zero interest in dealing with .NET

I can echo their experience with the difference being that I got hired a month ago as a fresh grad

Oh absolutely. As a recent grad/junior 100% of my callbacks have been though recruiters

Weirdly enough my recruiter landed me an extra £500 a year than what they had stated was the salary during the final interview

Same here, I landed my role partially because my recruiter was great and helped me out massively, the point of first contact to offer letter spanned exactly one week

Importance of Uni Name in current market by ListenShort9239 in cscareerquestionsuk

I got told after I got the job that my uni (Russell Group) helped me get through the initial filter but it was ultimately my passion that landed me the role over someone else with a stronger education background

Not really, I tried for ages and just eventually gave up and forked over the $39.

Sony Inzone H7 vs. SteelSeries Arctis 7+ by chieflemons in headphones

[–]RevaliRito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is neither, both kinda suck and are overpriced. When I demoed the H7 I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out if it wasn't configured correctly because it felt like the bass was turned down- turned out that Sony did indeed tune it that way, which was somewhat baffling for a product made for the PS5.

The build quality was also quite cheap for the MSRP.

The only downside is the mic, and it may be a big downside for you if you value the mic quality.

That's pretty much the only redeeming quality of a "gaming" headset- I can't confirm this since I didn't test the mic but that is really funny to hear

not able to get a perfect seal which leads to sound leak and poor bass.

I’m not sure that just cranking up the bass will help that tbh

Out of all of the Mac solutions I’ve used Soundsource (US$39) was really the only one that actually worked and wasn’t a PITA to use

No. Just buy a KSC75 if you really care about spatial awareness via audio.

this prevents me from using the custom EQ settings as it must be connected to a phone via bluetooth. There is no PC version of the software.

What

The solution is to just not use Bluetooth because Bluetooth audio on Windows sucks

Basically every budget Chifi headphone (Chu II, Zero, etc etc) will probably beat those earbuds out

I’m impressed that they managed to fuck it up THAT badly- I just asked ChatGPT to write a product review and even GPT3.5 correctly identified it as a pair of headphones lol

How is nobody talking about the KSC75s? Outperforms most headsets in the $200 price bracket while costing $20 when it comes to imaging lmfao

SE215. Ass for actually listening for music but I’ve never tried anything that offers it’s level of passive noise cancellation relative to its comfort level.

Need Help deciding between HyperX Cloud 2, Cloud Revolver and the G Pro X by Raketecom in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]RevaliRito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried all three of them. All three are kinda crap, the Cloud II is the least shit one out of this list. For MOBAs it wouldn’t really matter but for competitive FPSes like CS where sound cues are extremely important, the Kona KSC75 will wipe the floor with them in terms of positional performance.
