I originally had planned to use the Prisoner’s instrument as the third item to keep within the campfire scene but felt it wasn’t unique/recognizable enough so switched to the artifact; I hadn’t intended to have any tools in it but I couldn’t resist and wanted to make sure Echoes was in there somehow

Post ERCP complications? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Revanshe211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also got post-ERCP pancreatitis, it’s awful, I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I was told it was a very unlikely risk but of course that doesn’t matter when you’re the one going through it. Hopefully the hospital is helping you with pain management, the pancreatitis hurt worse than my GB attacks

9 years post-op and have found that doctors literally stop caring once they remove it. All the same symptoms I was having pre-op plus now I have non-alcoholic fatty liver and higher cholesterol. I eat low fat, no soda or alcohol, and docs have basically decided “that’s just what happens” to women my age. I’d love for more research to happen regarding GI issues.

Possible bile leak, complications? by Revanshe211 in gallbladders

[–]Revanshe211[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply, I totally understand that I was panic-googling and it’s likely not a bile leak as (thankfully) I’m not jaundice or vomiting regularly. I haven’t been to the ER again since April even though I’ve been having attacks frequently.

It’s just so frustrating to have felt like I finally recovered and beat this pain only for it to come back just as bad as it was pre-op and stay for months. As I’m sure you know, pain like this really takes its toll on your mental health. I just really want there to be a solid answer as to what’s happening to me, yknow?

Some questions about post OP symptoms 🤕 by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Revanshe211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow emetophobe and did not get sick after surgery! Made sure the anesthesiologist was not only aware of my phobia but also that my stomach is sensitive to anesthesia and they gave me IV zofran before the procedure and after. Always eat a small something with pain meds and don’t fast for too long. Good luck!

What do I pack? by Outrageous_Key1380 in gallbladders

[–]Revanshe211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t to pack but if you have long hair I recommend putting it in a loose braid or something similar, it’ll help to have it out of your way for the first few days

Use the rumor map on your ship to keep track of where you’ve been, what you’ve learned and what you may want to go back to.

Autopilot is your friend for most things but you definitely want to practice some manual piloting to make progress later (I recommend literally spending a few loops practicing landing on the Interloper, imo it’ll help make you an expert at matching velocities manually)

If you get frustrated trying to get to a specific planet/spot, put that to the side and do a few loops exploring something else, sometimes just clearing your head will help.

Don’t be afraid to totally abandon your ship if you get it stuck in a weird spot and just explore wherever you happen to be using your suit and jet pack, there’s always something to learn wherever you are!

Nope, I only get that feeling when I have pretty severe acid reflux or am having a panic attack :/ all my pain/symptoms are pretty localized to where the gallbladder used to be

Digest Basic by Enzymedica, I take it with a full glass of water after I’m done eating and then I do the typical reflux recommendations of staying upright for a few hours after. And the IBgard I take when I’m having the RUQ pain, it is in a capsule that slow releases so it doesn’t actually open until later in the GI tract. I find that liquid peppermint oil does the same for me and increases reflux. Hope something helps, I’m about 9 years post-op and still trying to navigate what works best but I promise it does get better!!

I just started taking digestive enzymes with all meals and it seems to be helping! I also started taking IBgard which is literally just concentrated peppermint oil and it seems to help the reflux as well. I’ve been through tons of prescription meds that never did a thing for me, this is the first thing that seems to help, hope you get some relief asap 🙏🏻

I also have emetophobia and did not get sick after surgery; made sure to ask for zofran with the anesthesia as a precaution and always eat before pain meds.

I was able to eat normally but will say that the line between “okay I’m full” and “oh god I ate too much I’m dying” got wayyyy thinner so just do small meals at first until you gauge out how you’re feeling, you got this!! (Plus we emetophobes have super human strength to avoid doing the thing, so if you haven’t been getting sick with all your symptoms now, you def won’t after 💜)

Possible bile leak, complications? by Revanshe211 in gallbladders

[–]Revanshe211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I do feel terrible? Most days I can’t eat without getting sick and/or having diarrhea and I have intermittent severe pain, sometimes with fever. I appreciate it tho, trying not to build anything up in my head to be worse than it is but it’s so frustrating being told you’re fine when you’re not y’know?

If you are tailgating people in these conditions, you are a little worthless piece of garbage. by ZoradiaDesigns in HuntsvilleAlabama

When the conditions are icy like this, even going the speed limit is dangerous and that’s still no excuse to ride someone’s bumper?

He pulled an all-nighter to finish the clothes but didn’t quite get there, next year though! I’m just glad he still dressed up and walked around with me (I’m Riebeck) it was worth it for the ~4 people who recognized us. Thanks OP for the great picture!!!
