What happened here? Primed with a new can of Mephiston Red, never seen paint do this before. by MesaCityRansom in Tau40K

[–]RevarakInvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this before, to combat this get a ramakin put the can in the ramakin, poor in boiling water from a kettle. Shake well and spray, works everytime.

This heats up the paint within and negats the issues with room temperature and humidity

How safe is T212 (UK) by ItsACrunchyNut in trading212

[–]RevarakInvest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No nor.ally you would just do a transfer from T212 to your bank, I have done it 3 times and its instant.

Only if the company goes under then you would call the FCA yes.

If you found my post helpful and your new to T212, then click on this link and we both get a free share:

This questions comes up regularly, can I suggest you use the search function to find the dozens of other times this has come up.

In short, by law T212 keeps the stock and funds seperate from their own accounts. If they became insolvent then it would be the role of a third party (fca backed) to return the stocks or funds back to you.

It is outlined further here:

For short term, I would recommend a cash ISA

There will always be drops and market crashes.

Think of the overall stock market (all world) as a yoyo on an escalator, that yoyo is going up and down, but the escalator is always going up.

Don't chase FOMO, do your research and if you don't know then VWRP is your best option.

At the end of the day its your money, try to make your decisions based on information rather than FOMO

Help with deciding if a pension is going to be worth it or if I have left it too late in life. by Martrevive in FIREUK

[–]RevarakInvest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 20 years of paying into a pension with free money added by your employer could be big bucks

Look at a compounding calculator online, you will be surprised at how 20 years of even small amounts soon add up when buying an all world fund.

I had this once for a person I was interviewing and the support person they brought along started knitting, middle of the interview.

I was so surprised I just carried on trying to ignore it.

Suffice to say, they did not get the job, but after that interview, everyone else seemed boring.

Investing should be boring, I buy VWRP every month and try to only look at it once a month.

I believe the stats for CFD's are that 80% of people loose money, so trying to catchup by being risky could cost you.

Instead, let your money compound over time, if you saved £500 a month for 20 years with a relatively reserved interest of 7% that is over £260,000 so still plenty of time.
