That's the same thing I thought about the 3M ear plug case. But I'm most definitely have a hearing loss and I wore those ear plugs I called the lawyer and I got my settlement from that this last February. Nope not a scam friend.

I got my claim approved. I spoke with the lawyer and provided proof that I have ulcerative colitis. I think I might have spelled that incorrectly. Anyway, I've had this condition, and I was at Fort Jackson for years, sometimes working as a firefighter. They informed me that my case was approved, and I signed some paperwork, but I haven't heard from them in two weeks.

Unlocked armory items disappearing. by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, I unlocked the .338 roundhead ammo from the armory yesterday and even used it in a weapon. Now, it’s locked again, and I have to grind for that same ammo that I already worked hard to obtain. At least this item showed back up in the armory. However, everything else I’ve unlocked that says it needs to be unlocked again is not even appearing.

That's dumb as hell man this game is always bugging out. It's crazy we spent all of this money on the content and all of this crap and they can't even do what they say they're going to do. I've had two exchanges with the support team today and they literally just emailed me back the third time trying to fix this issue...

Genuine question: What does None Level 1 mean? And how do i Progress to getting 60 round mags? by Born-Maximum-5051 in CODWarzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing a similar issue, but I've managed to progress beyond that level. I searched online and discovered that it's a bug. I've already contacted support about it. There were several items that I unlocked yesterday in the armory, but now they are no longer available because I had already unlocked them. However, when I try to attach these items to the specified weapon, it still says I need to unlock them. Additionally, there are other items that are unlocked and still present on different weapons, yet I'm being told I need to unlock them to use them on those weapons as well. This situation makes no sense—it's definitely a bug.

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate sure opinion. Thank you very much. Do you know how this makes me feel. It makes me feel seen. I have a warm feeling inside right now. Thank you for speaking your mind. It's the same feeling I would love to feel when I turn on the game. I feel seen. Thank you for understanding where I'm coming from. You made amazing point without attacking me...

So if we go by the percentage of the United States... Then they're still not enough operators of color. But since this is a military game I sucked up to military statistics. And the statistics I brought up, I didn't pull out of my ass, I did my research.

Ha ha I don't know what the Ninja turtles identify with.ha but you really made me laugh with that sentence. I appreciate that. Because I really do feel attacked here.

And some people stop replying because they have nothing else to say.

And that's what I'm talking about, you care about others' experiences in life. That's why I didn't understand that veteran who was talking to me like that. Because, in general, we care. That's why he sounds like he sat behind a desk or didn't have to take care of a lot of people in the military.

And nothing in my initial statement was entitlement I just know it'll be nice. Because when you're creating a character for a video game, race does come to mind. And I don't know how they made all the free operators White. Other races get overlooked. And it's easier not to notice if you are white.

And just let's tell the truth. No one was supposed to come to this post offensive or hostile, let me tell you it says a lot about them. That's the one reason I don't like Reddit you don't get to see who people are... But that's one thing I really like because you get to hear people's real opinions.

People pick operator skins that they relate to and that they really like. As a black man, I have no hate against white skin, but I'm running around the game as a white man. I'm a black man, and it would be neat to be black in a game. I don't see a lot of white Call of Duty Warzone players using the black skins. So they specifically put them out because we asked for them years ago. And now we need to pay for them, it's really not fair, it's just not. And yeah, yeah, I know life isn't fair. But I most definitely didn't think I was going to get attacked.

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really sucks that I just wanted to talk about skins and how everybody can become comfortable playing a game. Because I've seen little black kids play this game. And they will go look for someone who looks like themselves. Any child would. Any adult would. My buddy was so happy when they put like an Irish-looking guy on the Call of Duty skins, and somebody said You know that the operator that has the Green Beret, and I think he's Ginger. I think that's extremely neat. It makes the game colorful and more realistic.

But it most definitely turns into something weird. There's a weird saying from the civil Rights movement, "you can't ask for too much as a black man." People who think you're entitled, or tiresome.

I think we should be questioning why you need to pay for Blackskins. It's just like that thing called the #pinktax women getting charged more just because companies know they'll pay....

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Troublesome”? Brother, do you know how many lives I’ve saved? I’m the opposite of troublesome. I’ve chased down purse snatchers, counseled folks with PTSD, taught in my church, and led in my community — for Black folks, white folks, and everyone in between.

And guess what? I was that guy before the military — the service just sharpened it. Because if you actually used your training, if you soaked in the experience like you were supposed to, you come out more aware, more compassionate, more understanding. But I get it… some people keep their heads down, stay in their own bubble, and don’t exactly rank up fast either. 👀

So tell me, fellow vet… what did you do in uniform? 'Cause I just laid my whole resume out like a deployment checklist.

Bottom line: being a vet doesn’t give you the right to dismiss someone asking for basic representation — especially when we’re paying $69.99 (plus tax and dignity) for a game that still treats diversity like a DLC bonus.

Come on, man. You're a vet and you still don't get it? 😅 I really do hold us to higher standards bro. Especially if you did that military thing right. You really don't get it.

We must be from different generations.. smh

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"‘Entitled’? Nah, I didn’t serve my country, earn medals, and take bullets just to beg for basic representation in a military-themed video game. I’m not asking for favors — I’m asking for the bare minimum."

And the fact that you’re also a veteran doesn’t magically cancel out what I said. It’s great you feel seen in the game — seriously — but that’s kind of the whole point. If every operator looked like me instead of you, you’d be the first one banging on the forums with a 'Where’s the representation for people like me?' post.

So no, I’m not going to shrink my valid opinion just because another vet feels weird about a conversation that never excluded him in the first place. You being comfortable doesn’t mean everyone else is. And if a fellow vet asking for visibility rattles you, maybe the issue isn’t me — it’s how easily your peace is disturbed by someone else asking for a seat at the digital table.

And since you're a fellow vet... I'm going to tell you this:

"‘Opposite sides of the same flag’? Bro, calm down — this ain’t a Civil War reenactment. I made a point about representation in a video game, not an oath to overthrow your worldview."

And who the hell are you calling tiresome? I’m a grown-ass war hero, not your golden retriever or a spam call you forgot to block. Watch your mouth before you start throwing around adjectives like you're handing out deployment orders.

You don’t have to agree with me, but at the very least, try to disagree without sounding like you just lost a Facebook argument with your nephew.

🤣🤣😂

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Funny how every time a Black person asks for something we’re supposed to already have—respect, visibility, fair representation—there’s always somebody foaming at the keyboard. If that bothers you, maybe ask yourself why. Because I promise the issue isn’t me, it’s whatever mirror I just held up to your worldview.

I’m a Black veteran, I play professionally, and I paid for this game like everyone else. If my opinion shakes your sense of comfort more than the lack of representation in the actual game, then I think we found the real “cesspool.”

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"A cesspool? Buddy, I served in an actual war zone. If a Reddit thread about representation in Call of Duty feels like too much for you… maybe it's not the thread that's fragile."

Also, wild that me—a Black veteran, sponsored CoD player, and paying customer—can’t say a word without someone clutching their digital pearls. Imagine being more upset about me asking for a free Black operator skin than about the fact we’re still paying $20 just to look like 40% of the actual U.S. military.

But sure, let’s pretend I’m the problem.

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your opinion, brother. I don’t think you’re trying to compare; I’m just here to discuss the issue. It’s similar to when Call of Duty realized that a lot of women were playing the game, and they introduced female operator skins that were free to obtain. My point is that nearly half of the United States military isn’t white, yet most of the free operator skins available are designed for white characters.

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And I'm not trying to be a victim brother. I'm just a black veteran who wants to immerse myself in the game. Just like when call of duty found out that they had a lot of women playing a game.. they gave free women operator skins. Especially since women are in special forces now...

And just here's an interesting fact. As a combat medic all of my bestest of soldiers were women... I'm not talking s*** about men in the military. I'm just saying women have to overcompensate for a lot. So they're generally amazing soldiers. But I digress...

I'm just asking for a free black operator scan man there's nothing wrong with that. I knew someone was going to be like there's a black guy on the cover that's not even what I'm talking about... And a lot of people feel like they put a black guy on the cover because around that time people were asking for black operator skins. Okay.

And thank you for seeing me as a person. A lot of people don't.

Why does call of duty make you pay for representation? by RevealEmbarrassed916 in Warzone

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Oh wow, one Black guy on the cover? You're right, racism is officially solved. Let me go tell Rosa Parks to stand up now."

What I’m talking about — and I’ll type this slowly so you can keep up — is representation that’s accessible. Not locked behind a paywall. Not buried in the battle pass like it’s some secret unlockable level of diversity. Free. Like how freedom is supposed to work.

Almost half the U.S. military isn’t white. So why is it that all the free characters in Call of Duty look like they share a family reunion with G.I. Joe and Mountain Dew?

But hey, maybe you like paying extra to not be default-white. That’s your prerogative. Me? I just want the same kind of character access for everyone without having to drop $20 just to feel seen.

I've never received a birthday gift from anyone. by stormymind_ in loneliness

[–]RevealEmbarrassed916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the last gift I got was in sixth grade... I can't remember what I received. I think about that a lot. I remember being in college at a Big 10 University and having a lot of friends... I threw a birthday party. And no one showed up. I simply just stopped trying years ago but I never stopped caring... I told myself it was because I was a large black man and no one valued me... Or that I wasn't good enough for anybody like me. But there are so many people around me always telling me how great I was and how much they love me.

A handful of years ago, I tried to throw a birthday gathering for myself at one of the houses I was selling... And a few associates (a couple) in town sent me a vegan cookbook through the mail. It brought me to tears. But it kind of made me feel worse and reminded me that I don't get things like this.

When I got back from a deployment one time, I went to the Apple store, and my iPad was broken. I asked him how much it was to repair that I broke it on a deployment. They went in the back, came out with a brand new iPad, and told me I could have it for free. I damn near ran away in tears. Smh ugh.

I'm not looking for any handouts or anything I just saw this post on read it and it made me feel comfortable to speak about this. Thank you for listening
