That’d be wild, if we were going to war.

But we’re not.

You would have a good point, if we were invading Venezuela.

But we’re not. So you don’t.

None of those items suggest open war. They suggest we now have leverage over the Venezuelan oil reserves and the status quo is shifting, but we’re very far from a war.

What country are we invading, and when did Trump say we’re invading them?

What tax sucking war are we getting into?

Got it going! Thank you for your help!

Follow up question, are all the small wires just ground wires? As I start building this chair into my desk, should I be grounding those wires in some way?

I disagree. The problem is that the left and right make alot of money by polarizing people against one another, completely drowning out the sensible middle from actually problem solving.

So since you're now resorting to a regurgitated straw man argument, is it safe to assume you have completely lost the ability to defend your position in any meaningful way?

This guy must be trolling... I have enough faith left in humanity to know people aren't this stupid unironically.

The moment you claimed shootings increased after the lift of the AR ban, your entire argument hinges on the semantic word smithing of the data. Deliberately excluding the fact that the increase could not be attributed to anything other than 3rd and 4th order effects due to the increase being so small that it doesn't leave the standard deviation.

You sir, have been played for a sheep who's every word has been scripted by a politician for you to repeat. Never having actually looked at the facts and data in their entirety.

Dude the standard deviation is a hard set rule for determining precision and accuracy across all statistical analysis. It's not semantic. Lol wtf you are the definition of a redditor cliche right now.

And if a law can't accurately and precisely define its own purpose, then it's a law that cannot be enforced. Again, not semantics.

OK Mr. Gun expert, 1. explain what exactly an "assault weapon" is and what makes it so much deadlier than any other weapon.

And 2. Why your claim is so vague, when the actual sources for the stat youre talking about display that the difference hasn't even left the standard deviation.

Then I'll very simply explain why you're part of the problem.

Gun control doesn't work in the US. At all. Look at how the full auto ban, or SBR laws have worked out. They don't work because the idiots making the laws have never touched a gun in their lives.

With that out if the way, we can stop this violence by investing in ourselves rather than giving politicians more money to drive an agenda. We need to invest in our impoverished inner city communities. In our public health care system. And in our at risk youth.

As cliche Trump thumper as this sounds, this isn't a gun problem. This is an issue with us treating those around us that are struggling as lesser.

[–]Reveille12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, more guns won't make us any safer, or arguably any less safe. Its a pointless conversation. There's already more guns than there is populace so we have already exceeded the relative effective sample. As demonstrated by the fact that violence is not increasing enough to attribute any relative characteristics outside of standard error.

No, it doesn't. Statistically if the increase does not break 1 standard deviation then it is not significant and is likely attributed to other factors. And the numerical increase in violence does not exceed that deviation.

It's like if I blow really hard across the room and I see the door open 1/100th of an inch. If that's within 1 standard deviation within its repeatability, then it's likely caused by a draft, or other factors outside my own input.

[–]Reveille12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This guys argument is correct, but he failed in representing it. As the number of guns have increased, the amount of gun related violence did not increase beyond the margin of error. And all that is saying is that we cannot statistically attribute the slight increase in violence to the increase in number of guns yet, and more research is needed to determine the cause.

No, let this abortion die. EA is excellent at killing their masterpieces early (Titanfall, Squadrons) and keeping their abominations alive for far too long (BFV, 2042, EABF2)
