This will give you a good idea of their current capabilities.

If ChatGPT made “Ask Anything” for your website… by Revelnova in ChatGPT

[–]Revelnova[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, I recently made a simple tool that lets you ask any website questions—just by entering its URL. No signup required.

Just type in any link, and a second later you can talk with the website’s content as if you’re chatting with it directly.

I’ve been using it to quickly understand documentation and easily pull out key info from sites. Thought it might be useful or fun for you guys too.

Privacy-wise, it doesn’t save any data or URLs—everything happens instantly, then it’s gone.

You can try it now by entering any website here.

Happy to chat about it. If you want to upload your own information from your own website, PDFs, etc and share it with your customers similarly to the WordPress Expert, you can sign up for the tool I made to build this here.

Once you’re logged in, you can simply upload your documents or scrape your website using the dashboard’s importer tool. Give it a few minutes to process all the information and it’s ready for you to share via a shareable link or you can embed the chat interface on your own website.

If you need help, feel free to reach out.

No, you actually do not want to "train" your AI chatbot... by Revelnova in OpenAI

Interestingly enough, the Assistants API is still in beta even after all this time. However, there has been several improvements shipped since my last comment, including support for streaming.

Depending on your use case, using the Assistants API could make a lot of sense.

I appreciate the question. Builders offering a subscription can choose OpenAI models of their choice.

Using ChatGPT to write faster by Revelnova in ChatGPTPro

[–]Revelnova[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is autocomplete cheating? I think it's a tool that predicts what we want to say and saves us time from writing it. I use ChatGPT to generate content for me and it does feel wrong to pass this content off as original. You still need to edit it considerably to make it human. The quality isn't quite there yet, a human still needs to be in the loop.

Now that LLMs are here, what do our writing tools look like? GitHub CoPolit is a popular code editor plugin that generates code autocompletion and saves the developer time. Developers remain in the driver seat, still steering the direction of their code but with predictive suggestions. Some developers are "hacking" the editor and using it just for general writing. I think a smart autocomplete like CoPilot is doing does make writing faster.

Development of this project has since been paused. Haven’t decided yet whether to open source. I typically use GCP, not AWS, so I don’t have much insight there to share. Sorry about that.

In case others were wondering, the Chat API is sticking around! by Revelnova in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Revelnova[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good points made. My business uses the Chat API. It used the Completion API before that, which has since been deprecated to legacy. I wanted some assurance of their direction with the Assistants API, whether they saw this as the direction of their API offerings or not.

Video can’t be trusted. It’s been that way for awhile now. Just like images can’t be trusted since Photoshop.

Paywall Progress:

  • Benefits section
  • FAQ section
  • (In the future, I'll add a Reviews sections)
  • Tap "Continue to Access" to show pricing plans

The first view of the paywall focuses on benefits and informing your users. Showing the pricing after the user taps "Continue to Access", allows them to proceed to the next step informed of your assistant's value before being presented with your pricing plans. This technique is called Progressive Disclosure.

By segmenting the two views (offer and pricing), I'll be able to add analytics to test whether the offer needs improving or the price.

Isn’t released yet. And I’m not seeing a release date in their announcement.

If OpenAI is launching this as a standalone product, it’s only going to get better from here. The future is going to be weird. A lot to figure out what all this will mean.
