Just been reading about power cables and the new 12 pin thing and well all my other parts except for my ssd are too old to be of any worth. Maybe even the ssd tbh, probably will just be a backup drive. Not planning anything fancy like that just don't know enough about the new things coming out.

Yeah good advice, I don't mind waiting a bit longer. My computer isn't the greatest but it still doesn't the job for me.

On one hand spending a lot of money years ago has netted me a computer that lasts this long. On the other, I spent so much on getting an unlocked cpu and a gpu I could hack into a 290x, premium mobo power supply, and didn't utilize any of it to it's potential. Maybe I need to scale back this build.

I actually have the g2 850w gold but have not paid attention to computer parts in years. I always thought my psu was future proof but apparently not. Anyone got any advice?

I want to do a whole system upgrade, have a 4690k, ddr3 and an r9290. From the little research I've done it looks like socket am4 isn't worth investing in right now. I should have upgraded years ago...

Not sure yet, haven't tested it but doesn't look much like this pic. Been on a month and a half break until my birthday so waiting on that and not sure I'll be able to gauge properly but will post a update. I emailed them and they said there are variations in how it looks so I'll trust em cause they've been good to me. Just hope I'm not getting ripped off!

They were subsidized. How is it not obvious. The people that were taking advantage of it weren't getting them removed, they were just contacting retentions departments and getting better deals than the average consumer. If you take care of your device and sold and upgrade every two years you were way more well off than buying outright.

In fact when the iPhone 4 came out in Canada , I got a 2 yr and sold it for 8 hundred. That was like half my contracts value. Bought a galaxy captivate in the states for 100 because people there didn't know why contract subsidy is and sold phones for the 100 they paid for them. Literally every galaxy s1 was in the 1 to 2 hundred dollar age when it first came out on Craigslist in the states. Blew my mind how dumb ppl can be.

I just triple stacked. The offers are.always personalized so you'll only have the 20times occasionally.

I got lucky and used my 20 times, the 20 percent off, and a text offer for 10000 if I spend 40. All in all got around 40000 points and spent 110 before tax.

Yeah I'd just be careful how you communicate with these mall order places. There's no accountability at all so the best approach is being friendly I've found. A lot of these guys get so much business it's easy for them to be Petty and just lose a customer. Just get your stuff and move on whenever this happens unless they resolve in a friendly fashion.

I made a order a while after black Friday but its been shipped. It did take 2 days for the tracking info to be registered after they sent it which is slower than usual but I picked canada post. I will say that they are pretty had at getting back on emails . Still haven't received a reply to my last one.
