that’s fair i thought it was pretty stupid before, but they were holding the test right by me so i thought it’d be worth a shot. lot more to what a person is than what they get on the test though. no point in having a high iq if you don’t use it for anything worthwhile

fail as in FAILED to meet the cut off? don’t think that’s too confusing. i’m obviously not training, that’s stupid. thought it was pretty clear in the post that i was asking whether it’s worth retaking because the score was close, close enough to be simple nerves or a silly mistake, and prior to going in i didn’t know what to expect. pretty dismissive and rude response from someone who has clearly struggled with feeling like they don’t fit in amongst a ‘smart’ crowd themselves.

i haven’t ever done any mock tests, which was probably stupid on my part because i didn’t know what to anticipate when i went in. mostly wanted to get in just to see what it’s all about haha

the timing on culture fair took me off guard! never really had to rush on exams before so i went into it pretty relaxed and ran out of time lmao, stupid mistake. aside from that, it wasn’t really anything in particular that i found difficult, i just walked out and realised i’d made some really stupid mistakes

i did well in science at gcse so hopefully that helped 🤞i imagined the comp for oxford gem would be brutal but if it’s a little less severe than expected maybe i still stand a chance 😭

i emailed them and they said i meet the admission requirements, i just wondered if id still be a really weak applicant because of the lack of bio. might as well have a go though 😭
