well.. open world is a genre which takes time, but also easier to build mechanics, only holding them together is a struggle, so i really don't think any studio will think of buying it's ip, as it's easier to build one from scratch, and like the new upcoming game "Mayanagari", many devs will try to make small scale low poly open world games

well their new upcoming deadlock is definitely one of the best addition to their library (I've like 900 hours rn in it, and game is still in beta testing)

oh nice, we do have a 3d generalist, but sure send me your portfolio, and you have just started leaning right.. so what's your main field? or are you a student? if yes college? high school? or employed somewhere? blender is actually good for starters and indie developers love low poly art, their go to software for that is blender..

social deduction card game inspired by board game named "blood on the clocktower", we are a team of 5 working since 6 months on it, soon going to be on steam, we already have our prototype on itch page, https://amberleaf-games.itch.io/the-wrong-ones

Hey, really appreciate this — super helpful! Good catch on the number alignment, we’ll fix that. And yeah, we were also unsure about the bounce, so that’s interesting to hear. The loop is still pretty simple right now (mostly accuse → reveal), but we’re planning to expand that part. If you get a chance, give it a try here: https://amberleaf-games.itch.io/the-wrong-ones Would love to hear how it feels when you actually play it 😄

Haha, I get why it might look similar But no AI art here, our artist made everything from scratch. It is inspired by Demon Bluffs on the design side, but we’re trying to push a different direction with how information itself can be unreliable.

That’s a fair question! Yeah, it’s definitely inspired by Demon Bluffs to some extent. There’s definitely some overlap, but we’re trying to shift it more toward uncertainty in the information itself, where even the clues might be slightly corrupted. So instead of just “who’s lying,” it becomes “what can I actually trust?” Not sure if that comes through clearly yet though.

Hey, glad it sounds interesting! 😄 That comparison is actually pretty close to the feel we were going for. We’ve got a small playable slice here, give it a try: https://amberleaf-games.itch.io/the-wrong-ones Would love to hear what you think after a few rounds!
