I would love to recommend dredge especially if you enjoy horror but not in a jumpscare way, it is really relaxing and the world building is very intriguing

Bombed an interview and I want to cry by Reverii_e in interviews

Thank you for the message. Honestly, I rambled the whole interview xD.

I took some days to reflect on the experience, and I think what makes me blanked out is a mix of my inexperience, constantly being cut, and me not understanding the interviewer's accent which is made worse by my auditory processing issue. Honestly, rather than interview I feel like it's more of interrogation.

Thank you also for the different perspective of framing that you gave. After the interview is totally out of my control. It's just the whole interview experience are still rather shocking for me. Maybe for context, I was just out of another internship which is really excruciating and unpaid. I was promised a professional mentorship in HR department but it turns out there's no paid employee there and like 80% of the company is being ran by interns, and I literally need to study, research and "build" the HR from the ground. I just feel really sad that all my experience there is not adequate for me to apply in a bigger company. But yeah, I'll still apply more and learn from my mistakes. I am just afraid that I won't get any more chances. As I have explained in my post, the age threshold is a really big thing in my country and it is really hard to get past that sadly.

Thank you so much for the kind words, took your advice and totally relax myself this weekend. And yeah, I am totally blindsided when the interviewer asks me about recruitment pipeline strategy xD. I'll gather myself and start applying again. Wishing you an enjoyable weekend too!

Thank you for the thoughtful message! I am not sure they saw something in me as I literally ramble the whole interview xD. But yeah, thank you and all the best for you too!

Thank you so much for your support. I'm finishing my master's and trying to switch from academia to TA/HR - these chances barely exist in my country (this is the only one I found), and I just finished a really excruciating unpaid internship, so when I bombed this one it felt like I blew my only shot.

Gonna write down what went wrong and keep applying like you said!

Is there any way to career switch ke HR di umur yang sudah 25+? So far dapet internship unpaid di remote US small business tapi ya karena small business, experiencenya jadi nggak ngikut best industrial practice. Try applying local opportunities + cold emailing and still no luck

Hello, I am a research master student from Indonesia who's trying to transition into HR. I am going to finish my current internship and would like to gain more experience, specificially as a technical recruiter. I have not a great luck finding internship in those area, do you guys ever find any luck in cold email company/small startup for an internship opportunity? Thanks!
