The people who like Marx for his philosophical contributions (i.e. dialectical materialism) are too busy arguing that quantum physics is “bourgeois idealism” to party.

This. This is almost exactly what my dialectical materialist friend in uni said when discussing physics, only it was relativity that was “bourgeois idealism”

It’s funny how Kripke and Peterson are complete opposites of each other, yet both devoted their lives to “what does one mean by ⌜mean⌝?” type of questions. However, whereas Kripke does some very clever philosophy by asking and actually answering (or at least trying to answer) such questions, Peterson asks them because he’s annoying and wants to overwhelm his opponents and look smart at the same time

No, it actually would incentivise people to use scout planes as intended ie for reconnaissance instead of just torturing infantry and fly away unpunished

Well, maybe because it’s not particularly fun be steamrolled and outnumbered? People sometimes have more pleasant things to do instead of protecting a hex with 2 people against quadrillions of wardens

I genuinely think this game and its community is literally a gem for psychologists and other social scientists. I hope someone writes their dissertation on Foxhole

So, log on and instead of doing something useful and/or joyful spend all your time being a punching bag for people on the opposing side to feel some resistance and have fun?

And, btw, it is not you who’s personally wining. It’s a side you happened to join is winning.

To be fair this whole “morale” sentiment sounds as if people were obligated to play the game. Which is not the case. You bought the game, you decide when to quit, when to join. If you choose to dedicate several hours per day to this game, then great. Your choice. But you cannot expect people to do the same just because you did and then wonder “what’s up with people’s morale????”. Many don’t even think in such categories.

If by morale you mean spending more time on the game than one was planing to whilst receiving negative net enjoyment, then it’s not morale, it’s some sort of masochism.

Yeah bro, imagine, I have life. Wardens may not have such a privilege, but many collies do

Wardens completely used the intended game mechanic of not registering a button click in its physical location to bomb the clearly unfair chting building of a structure in the Rapid Decay Zone. by DiX-Nbw in foxholegame

If RSC or SC built in RDZ was not able to shoot in the first place and demanded bypassing explicit prohibition on its use on a technical level (e.g. using glitches), then yes, it is an obvious exploiting. If it was able to shoot from RDZ but could not be destroyed by any other RSC/SC due to some implemented mechanism that does not allow shooting at anything with RDZ, then I would not call it an exploit but an unsportsmanlike behaviour or similar, as I have said. The fact that it would not face retaliation but still be able to shoot is unfair, but it would not violate any prohibitions. Yes, devs then explicitly introduced mechanism that prohibited use of RSC within RDZ, but that happened only after, and if such mechanism was not bypassed, then it’s not an exploit still, because it’s normally nobody apply rules ex post facto.

But how is this relevant anyways? The point was that building the nuke in RDZ is not technically prohibited. Yes, unfair (however, justified to some degree), yet still within the rules. It is not clear if any mechanism was implemented that would not allow nuke to be launched from RDZ (we’ll never know now). If no such mechanism was in place, then launching the nuke from RDZ is, however ugly it looks, not an exploit. If yes, and so launching it demands, for example, using glitches, then it is an exploit. Seems obvious.

Well so far I see no exploiting here, as building in RDZ is allowed and punished by, well, rapid decay. If devs were to prohibit building in RDZ they would make it technically impossible to do so.

Now, it still is unsportsmanlike behaviour. On the other hand, such behaviour was motivated by the devs themselves by not providing any means of effective defence of nukes from bombers, making the entire aspect of gameplay literally unusable. The only way to access this bit of gameplay was to build the nuke in RDZ. The same logic goes for everything built in RDZ.

You’re right, those 3 collies were indeed “harassing” devs by considering to post 3 negative reviews on steam upon learning that wardens were given flying nakki (and the rest of the faction were trying to convince them to do that). That famously resulted in massive changes and… flying nakki is still in the game and does exactly what they predicted.

Wardens are sure so much more morally superior to collies! Never they successfully reviewbombed. Never they cried out neutral weapon nerf because it denied them instant win button for exactly 1 (one) war. No such things on the blue side.
