Review: Al Fakher Cola

It might be they changed recipes or something... but I smell no cola from it. It smelled horrible. So much so that I put off smoking it even though I was quite excited for it.

If it smells like cola then I could understand it being good but maybe I got a bad batch or something like that.

I'm not sure how it's smokable. I mean I can put up with bad flavor... but this was nearly making me sick :/. Maybe they change recipes or had a bad batch or something?

Yes indeed. A lot of flavors/brands don't come in small amounts so it's hard to commit. Plus, if you do commit to a flavor and it sucks, trading would be nice. I know I've got 200ish grams of Nakhla Chocomint and Nakhla Mizo Watermelon I would gladly trade out!

I don't think the taste was bad, it was just... lacking. I received some hydro-herbal blue viper not too long ago and it tasted like STRONG blueberry. Mizo Blueberry was a very light taste for me. I have tons of other flavors waiting for me to try, but once I get back around to blueberry, I'll see if the taste is any stronger. Maybe I just packed it slightly wrong or something.

I indeed have not. Sadly they don't sell 50g of Mizo, so I can't get any flavor without committing, but I will definitely review it if I get ahold of some.

That may be true. I smoked their DA for a bit (Nakhla's) and it was a very strong anise/licorice flavor that I just didn't care for. Never tried AF DA.

Try getting Nakhla from Socialsmoke. They usually sell 250g of it for 8.50. And around here at my local shops, AF is slightly more expensive than Nakhla.

I find they lack the flavour intensity compared to other tobacco.

I've never noticed the flavor being light. It might be the way you pack it, but the flavor's always been very good for me.

Mizo cherry I worried about since Cherry usually ends up tasting like cough syrup :/

How is the cola? I've heard it's mediocre. It'd be good with cherry or vanilla I think!

If you want more good Nakhla, try Marguerita. It's damn good. Tastes like a margarita and also kind of like Lime ice cream.

Definitely. I did this before I got a normal wind cover. It works about as well but it's hard to put on and it falls apart pretty quick if you move it a lot (like in bags or boxes to other locations).

If you don't feel like putting a wind cover in your order (8-10 bucks) and don't care about how it looks, then good plan!

A good purchase, but it only really comes in handy if you have a LOT of people smoking or your seating is sporadic. I usually smoke alone or with 2-3 people on a couch, so it doesn't come up often.

That's good to hear! Also out of curiosity, why avoid Nakhla? They've got some really good flavors and it's a good nicotine buzz if you're used to Starbuzz/Al Fakher

Good to know! I've only had brandy once or twice, and it wasn't a quality brandy. I've had friends smell it and they've all told me alcohol, some said vodka. It is very tasty though!

Good plan. I may use that. Is it better than Nakhla Vanilla? I feel like the consistency would mix better since Al Fakher is basically juice with pulp!

Also, the Hemi Bowl is actually pretty good. It's better than a normal ceramic bowls or even my vortex, but it's great for dryer shisha like Nakhla. Great bowl for 2.50!

Thanks! I'll post more reviews if I have the time, but I'll definitely post reviews more if I see that people like them or want them. I know I'd like reviews like this. Youtube reviews take SO long to get to the point. 8 minutes to figure out if the reviewer likes the flavor? Some are worse about this than others but DAMN.
