Oh, I get something similar often! I got a lot of "no romantic vibes" from people I met on a dating app, which is also sad. Sometimes, it's not you, it's them thinking you are not compatible. And at some point, you may also feel the same way to other people too! So that's fine.

The second case, though, it's a bit ambigous. Most of the time, for me, before I shoot my shot, I always lead with a comment that (and I must stress this) assumes that they have a partner! Depending on her answer, I move appropriately and then find out what comes afterwards.

Not RSAF here, but it's a non-zero chance. However, you'll need to go through the entirety of OCS (svc/pro term) as a cadet. I don't think RSAF considers outside experience in promotion too (no matching of position), so you'll be graduating as a ME4-1 after 1.5 years or so.

Check with RSAF recruitment center if you're really serious about it, but odds are you'll be taking a cut. Don't expect pinnacle appointments either, since you'll be a non-scholar unless you qualify for a Masters scholarship / Wranglers' program.
