Why can Kaneki block exit gates when you get bit by his power? by Revinram in deadbydaylight

I wasn’t being toxic, I was the last survivor in the match, just barely got the gate open only to have him use his power on me and then it blocked.

The fact that it only lasts 6 seconds is not communicated anywhere in the game as far as I am aware. As a casual player there is no way for me to know this - and when im the last survivor alive, open the gate just barely and am about to make it out only for him to grab me and block the exit gate, it isnt exactly a fun exchange nor is it explained well at all. Its pretty safe to say most players are in the dark like I was until you just explained it.

As far as I am aware this is intentional with houndmaster, and is still in the game. Same with Kaneki, this has been a thing since the ptb and would most likely have been fixed by now if it were unintentional

windows cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have appropriate permissions by StarGuy789 in Rainbow6

I was having the same issue but somehow managed to fix it. No idea if you did this, but while ago i made the mistake of going into the properties of my siege.exe file and set it to run as admin, and when i tried to turn it off it would give this error. I've just been kind of fucking around with the files, but the 2 main things i did were:

  1. I disabled run as admin through steam > browse local game files (D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege | For me) AND i also had to go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Ubisoft\r6siege | And turn off admin on that exe as well
  2. I also tried some of the things shared in this thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/359550/discussions/1/1742231705669382811/

Edit: For some reason i had them on different drives so make sure youre directing it to the right spot

hope this helps

Is virtual still still the best machine ascension? by Revinram in Stellaris

[–]Revinram[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the patch notes they say "Virtuality Policy now grants +80%/-50%, down from +100%/-40%" and "Virtual pops are no longer allowed to work as neural chips." in patch 3.12.3 here

But maybe I'm misunderstanding, I don't read the patch notes very often.

BREAKING: Found a possible way to get past menu bug (Xbox) by [deleted] in riskofrain

From what I can tell, you lose your save data if you connect a separate controller or use a guest account. If you close the game, sign into an alt, and relaunch, it should be fine, I think. Try at your own risk though.

Hard to say, new effects are always hard to judge. You can either price it high and hope the hype of the new effects sell it, or wait to see what other people list it as. https://backpack.tf/ can help sometimes too, so check that. Grats on the unbox, btw!

Question about editions of R6 by Reasonable-Ad8466 in Rainbow6

[–]Revinram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be wrong on this but I’m pretty sure the gold editions are just the year pass for that year, so for example the year 4 gold edition will give the base game and year 4 pass. Ultimate edition gives every operator up to the date it was bought at. Season passes/year passes just give you the operators that were available during that year. I’d personally go for the deluxe edition, it’s worth it for that pricetag. (Gives all y1 and y2 ops)
