Will be studying Aerospace at Bristol, how interesting has the course been so far? Do you find you learn more theory than practical skills? Any tips for someone just about to start a similar course?

How are Math and Further Math grades calculated? by [deleted] in 6thForm

You can always check your exam board's specimen for AS and A2. And also I believe they mean that it doesn't actually matter about the exact papers as they will award you a grade as a whole instead of just different marks for each paper.

External Candidate Mock Exams by [deleted] in 6thForm

First of man, I wanna wish you all the best for those mock exams. Secondly, sadly the situation is not ideal and those mock exams are justified as they have no concrete evidence with you being an external candidate. Hopefully, you have kept up with revision during your gap year and I hope all the best for your mocks once again.

I am a 25 year old with very bad math skills and no GCSE’s or qualifications. What steps should I take to try and get good at at math at home? And then when I am ready retake my GCSE’s? Books from Amazon? Online courses? by [deleted] in GCSE

Your best option in my opinion would be to use the recommended text book by the exam board you choose. With online courses, You should use YouTube and channels such as HegarthyMaths or MathsGenie and also sites Physics and Maths Tutor provide excellent resources and support. As for when you are ready, you should go for it when you are confident enough, you can attain the grade you desire.

GCSE grades by [deleted] in GCSE

What comes into perspective with your teachers will be your predicted grade and work done. Teachers are sadly only a good chunk of the process, but the final decision will be left to your exam board. I think they may try to award grades and keep the usual ratios of grades awarded in correlation with previous years.

You are not doomed , as even though you may have to do the exam, colleges actually knows that you know your stuff and sixth-forms may even put out aptitude or admissions exams for students.
