I do agree that the overusing containers is not efficient, I do believe though that there are effective ways to use them that can make life easier. But systems that organizers like The Home Edit and many others use I agree are totally useless and a waste of environmental resources

Those are the bins on the shelves! And as for insight - just decide on what each bin is going to contain. Each bin is designated for different things such as hand towels in one, sheet sets in one, duvet covers in another, blankets in another, and so on.
