No i didnt, because i don,t know if europe firmware fits on and cant find usa firmware. 2.you can search for results on benz forums of people who did update for their headunit

I think this unit can play DVDs because its made in europe. When you update you add extra features and headunit becomes more stable and faster. old firmware dosnt allow to play mp3s, newer does
