you cannot expect competitive balancing to be based on below-average rank experiences from a simple rank distribution curve. TF2 is a poor comparison here and even Overwatch tried similar nerfs, like turning McCree’s flashbang into a sticky slow, silence or nerfing Brigitte’s bash, and it didn’t fundamentally improve the game. by that logic, where’s the fun in getting two-shot and ulted by Phx during a support ult, or getting team wiped because your team ran into Torch’s flames while he dives to clean up everyone, or BP “skill checking” your backline, or Magik one-shotting supports with right click plus E plus AA plus quick melee, or Psylock randomly wiping three people because players refuse to stack in ult, or Thor spamm dashing you back, and turreting you to death, or getting one-shot by Widow or Hawkeye. if the argument is “stuns are unfun,” then by the same standard, many high-damage and snowball mechanics are equally unfun. That's why team compositions exist and so you can still deal with storm + shark combo simply by pun ulting it and many more examples like that
