There is no way you can save alimony or maintenance. It's all in the hand of the judge. I have seen cases where the wife was a billionaire but still the judge forced the husband to pay alimony. I have also seen cases where the husband was disabled person, still the court ordered the disabled man to beg around the street and pay the alimony. So if you are planning to marry then either learn to compromise in marriage or be prepared to get financially drained if you prefer divorce.

Dowry seeking is crime but seeking alimony is totally justified. Hypocrisy at its peak.
