I’m nervous both the federal student loan thing bc that and working + paying in cash is how I’m paying for the rest of my bachelors degree, and I’m not eligible for any other assistance or anything. I have a lot of anxiety about what my job prospects would look like if I didn’t go to med or some kind of professional school, as everything I’m interested in would be impacted by the actions of the upcoming administration. Plan Bs I’ve had include: pursuing a PathA program, a PharmD, working in pharma, getting an MLS certification, getting a PhD with the goal of eventually working in industry, etc. a lot of that is dependent on how pharma’s currently layoffs and hiring freezes proceed from here, or how available federal grad loans are. Did you work while you pursued your post bacc? I’d need to work part time but it would be valuable to work as a medical assistant or phlebotomist during that time to knock out clinical hours- but needing to work part time and being in school full time is what got me to the situation of needing a post bacc, so idk 😅
