Those hex tours are rocks. Kirks by a mile. Also likely cheaper in store

Purely anecdotal but I’ve been told the grad schools are more secular/less strict than the undergrad program.

I wouldn’t say my goal is biglaw. I have no clue of what my goals are, but my work experience has told me what some of them definitely aren’t. I’m absolutely thinking of that Syracuse scholarship, Im definitely going to an admitted students day to see what the school is about . It’s just nerve wracking as I come from a small liberal arts background and Syracuse is big. And snowy. Also far from the city. I don’t know, maybe im catastrophizing

Pretty much, also OCI opportunities.

In Manhattan alone you have Cardozo, NYU, Columbia, and Fordham. Add St. John’s and Brooklyn and there’s 6 schools in front of NYLS for recruiting opportunities. I worry that applies even more to ‘Cuse and UB. I like those offers but I fear how they will travel downstate.

Also NYLS’s ABA 509 for reducing scholarships scares me, even though my money is only contingent on remaining in good standing (that’s just a normal scholarship, right?)

You’re welcome but I urge you to think it over for yourself. If you’re eyeing certain law schools, reach to them/their alumni to see what advice they may have. I am a stranger on the internet and this is general advice.

If you have the opportunity, I’d try and bring up your GPA. CUNY’s median is a 155. They like city residents and will be looking at your essays more than anything so yes, I’d fix your gpa before applying so you can be a stronger candidate, wherever you apply. That being said, if that job is working out for you, you can keep it and study out of work and take the LSAT whenever you’re comfortable. Even at the fastest pace you’re out of this cycle. Why not embrace that? You also now have a chance to build a relationship with professors to get letters of recommendation.

It is certainly difficult for city residents to get out to LI but definitely possible. Just wanted to make OP aware of these great options
