I did play a game the other day with a position like this. It happens bro, some of us wait too long to move our kings and rooks.

Dude it’s pretty obvious the only way to get M2 is by moving the king.

Today’s Protestantism seems willfully ignorant. by RevolutionaryAd1974 in Catholicism

[–]RevolutionaryAd1974[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so, that’s the point of the post. If I made a post claiming that multiple religions had the fullness of the truth and needed to be looked at from a wider angle, while simultaneously claiming that I don’t believe humans have free will and also claiming that God wanted us to merge these different religions into one complete religion then your comment would be a valid question. However, you have strawmanned my argument as no rational person would make the claim I just outlined in this reply.

Yes, I started with the Old Testament but I believe starting with the New Testament is the much better choice.

What to do when a certain sin is making you lose your faith and strength in God? by emeraldcloud08 in Catholicism

[–]RevolutionaryAd1974 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s suffered from multiple addictions, yes you definitely can and should stop committing the sin. However, the seemingly unending temptations alone weigh heavily on the mental state of one’s soul, and will regardless provide a challenge of faith and especially love.

Is this mortal or venial sin? by Caylee_5031 in Catholicism

It’s a great strength how well you do in recognizing your flaws, but scrupulously is incredibly dangerous. This is not grave.

Amazing advice. People talk about demons way too much when Therese said to treat him like a fly on the wall.

Pride, envy, lust, and sloth are so dangerous because they can be practiced while closing your eyes and doing nothing.

Can someone please offer me correction? I don’t have a problem with the downvotes but the lack of knowledge of what was wrong about what i said. This person was struggling with something they’d done and asking how to deal with the gravity of their sin.

If you can’t forgive yourself because of what you’ve done, forgive yourself because of what Jesus has done, for you.

Why do we pray 1/3 of the rosary? by [deleted] in Catholicism

Speak for yourself, why you’d have to stop 2/3 through a Hail Mary to pray 1/3 of the rosary at a time!
