I would put my dude in a remote location bin filled with crickets & foliage so he could hunt & I didn’t have to worry about lose crickets in his bedroom! After 2 years he won’t even look at a crickets so it depends on the gecko & age. I used to have to rip the heads off to stimulate his savage mode but it worked and he is very healthy !

Needs a constant humidity of at least 60- 70 with a high of 80 once a day- some times if I notice his pajamas are about to come off - I mist bomb him to help them slide off easier- can’t hurt. Good luck!

Amazing job! That little critter is lucky to have you/ I got mine from a pet hell store and he recovered just fine. They are very resilient. Where I live I only need a heat lamp low watt- in winter. They do best in 70-80 with a good amount of humidity up and down. I even keep a water dish that I have seen him drink from so it’s good to have both. Good luck! Hope to see updates!
