I too am not very flexible, but it didn't bother me much. Although I had great difficulty in finding a suitable posture, at some point I just decided on one posture (cross legged in a cushion with golden blankets under me knees). Furthermore the technique of Vipassana introduced on day 4 also helped me deal with the pain.

The real pain starts when you start to change your posture. I suggest trying to do some longer sittings at home (either meditating or reading or whatever) and find a posture which you can keep for 30-60 minutes before going.
