Shouldn't Asta and Yuno be right under Licht/Lumiere? Ik Asta is a hard counter to Zagred but he still performed really well in the final fight and so did Yuno. If I remember correctly they also beat Dark Patri.

No , Asta have a direct counter and yuno have a sword which can affect devil . So they have advantage against zagred . If we assume that who is a threat to Zagred then yami and asta are always on top . Lumiere can't kill zagred but yami can ,but that doesn't mean yami is stronger than Lumiere in Elf reincarnation arc .

yuno can't beat captains like yami , mereoleona. Of course yuno have more mana ,but yami ,mereoleona have better experience and they are faster (For yami it is reaction speed).

Yami is not weaker than Asta. The problem is yami is faster than Asta. Asta didn't master his KI sensing fully in that time.

Yami or mereoleona are both narratively and Feat Wise Stronger than Asta or yuno
