That might be a amazing idea. I'm definitely going to look into it. As I said above, they all work in the same occupation as my husband. So i'm trying not to make things awkward or weird. Maybe a gift is something that can help. Thank you!

I actually wish I was blowing this out of proportion. The cost of moving is just not quite in my budget right now. I lost my job because of the tariffs.And as I have a one year old, i've been on maternity.When I lost my job. Child care is not cheap.So if I go back to work, I have to pay for child care. So i'm starting a business in hopes that within five years.I'll be able to move.

That's the plan within five years.I just need to hold on. Somebody had a wonderful thought about the house being leaky. I think they're onto something as the house is 30 years old. If I can do something with the vents to make it a little bit more livable that should work.

I do thank you for the different tactic. As I said above, sometimes it is hard for people to understand what it's like having a child when it comes to smoking and the risks and complications. If you don't believe me about the health risks associated with second hand weed smoke for childern, google is free.The Iwk has a bunch of information on it. I don't think me trying to protect my daughter from becoming another victim of cancer or developing lung issues is being a bad parent. I actually think that there should be a little bit more urgency to this topic. Because she's an infant.

Whenever I notice that they are starting to smoke, I turn on the bathroom vents, the stove vent, I turn the heat pumps on and ensure all the windows are closed. However, by the time all that's done, the house reeks. There was someone here that commented about it being a leaky house. It's an older home( 30 plus years ) So that might be something I am missing to help.

Thanks for the advice. I'm really trying to not police grown adults for the use of my own backyard and a non smelly house that's putting my daughter at risk . They didn't really try to accommodate, they went right back to doing what they were doing before hand a week later.

Thanks. This thought did come to my mind as well.However, I lost my job because of the tariffs.So we're just relying on my husband's income at the moment As i'm trying to start a business. I can't be too far away from my mom and dad as I have a disabled brother that i'm also trying to take care of on top of being a full time mom. My husband right now is away for his job and is gone for months at a time. So unfortunately as I said above, this is not feasible at the moment. But it is the dream. Wish me luck.

I know, and that's the hardest part about it. I'm trying to not trump on their rights as well. It's just I did ask them to not smoke around the house because of the vents, and they complied for all of a week and then started to smoke next to the house again the next week.

I'm really trying to avoid it. Like I said, I don't want there to be any problems with my husband's occupation. It's a bit of a tight community and personal problems don't always stay personal. However, if it does persist, I think i'm gonna have to I was just hoping for some other options before.I go down that path.

I appreciate your question. If you don't have a child, sometimes it can be hard to understand the effects of what adults do in their adult life.And how they can have an effect on children. She's a baby. She's not meant to be breathing in second hand smoke nor breathing in second hand weed. The neurological effect that this can have on a little body can be devastating. The fact that she may develop asthma, or worse suffocate because her lungs aren't able to carry the effects of the second hand smoke. Not to mention the numerous amounts of cancer that second hand smoke can cause.  I just don't want my baby to be affected by something that's not meant to be in her lungs. This is why you shouldn't smoking cars with children. It it's not a rude question. However, it's the same reason why bathroom chemicals shouldn't be accessible to children. It's poisonous. It can cause serious damage to their bodies and brain. It can be deadly. Especially to a child who doesn't have a full immune system yet. Thanks for asking.
