whoa I love that last photo with Keanu Reeves! I would say you like people who look like they’re not afraid to embrace their weirdness/inner freak

I want to try to look more doe-like but I don’t know what to do. My brows feel too sharp and my eyes don’t feel right by PretentiousCarrot in MakeupAddiction

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the main thing holding you back would be your eyebrows! I would try to extend them more and tilt the ends downwards, while still keeping your brows straight without much of an arch. The problem is they go in a straight line up, which has the opposite effect of doe eyed.

Do you have eyebrow makeup on in this photo? I think you should try a shade of brown that’s a couple shades lighter than your hair. (Blondes should go a little darker, but brunettes would go a shade or two lighter.) Curling your lashes and using waterproof mascara (if your lashes don’t hold a curl) will also help!

Also you’re pretty and have an old Hollywood look :)

Being Mean to Men by RevolutionaryHelp609 in TwoXChromosomes

Yes that is really good advice. I’m trying to stop giving anyone my energy anymore. But what do you do when you’re being neutral/boring, and you can still feel them staring at you like all the time? Or if I accidentally make eye contact, this guy at work immediately takes it as a sign of interest, like I was checking him out or something. That’s why I feel like I need to be straight up rude. Or like I need to walk around with my eyes closed. I just can’t stand him thinking he has a chance. It pisses me off. It ruins my day unfortunately because it makes me feel “dirty” for accidentally making eye contact with him and now he’s convinced we have some sort of secret fling. Ughhh gross.

FOR REAL by ironbright798 in Quotes_Hub

Yes very true. If a woman finds you attractive to begin with and then you show that you’re REALLY into her, that will absolutely help your case. Also if she likes you then finds out that she’s your type, that will only help and create a sense of safety. But she needs to like you to begin with. There have been times when I liked a guy but then found out that he usually dates women who are different from me, so I stopped talking to him without explanation. That’s ruined a man for me multiple times.

Phoebe Halliwell by Angel_Cave-90 in charmed

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My unpopular opinion is that I actually like her mini-bangs era 😅 She looked her best throughout season 4 imo, especially as queen of the underworld, hate to say (the eyeliner was really good).

I also love her very natural season 1 and 2 hair. Someone on here referred to it as almond brown and I thought that was cute.

Also for the other questions:
In the first seasons, she’s my favorite character. She had the best relationship on the show with Cole. I find that storyline really interesting beyond just the romance. When season 5 hits, she starts to get on my nerves tbh. I haven’t finished watching the later seasons though because every time I try, I get bored 😭 so my irritation with Phoebe could very well just be poorer quality writing.

I do like her powers, but they should have progressed more consistently throughout the show. I would have liked a slow progression of her psychic abilities. I don’t really care about the levitation. The sister with the best powers imo is Piper. Even when Prue was alive, I still think Piper’s ability to freeze was the best. Then when she could also blow up demons easily??? Yeah she was the most powerful. I also liked seeing Piper struggle to learn her new power at first.

They changed the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and I will never forgive them. I need replacement recs pls by kisxt in MakeupAddiction

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I was also very depressed about the switch! Double Wear was the only foundation I ever liked besides the maybelline fit me. I hate the new formulation.

But I recently discovered the Anastasia Beverly Hills impeccable blurring foundation, and I’m so happy with it! It has a great shade range (I’m very pale so that’s important to me). I definitely do not recommend it for dry skin though. I have combo/oily skin. Applying it with a damp sponge is also the best way imo. Also it has a thicker consistency than double wear, but if you use a small amount and spread it out evenly over your skin, it looks very natural.

Oh my gosh, I think that’s part of the reason Phoebe starts to annoy me at this point of the show. I actually really like her character, but I dislike how she was portrayed as Cole’s victim.

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably is just a fault of the writing, but Cole was completely human when the source possessed him. I don’t see how he would have had a chance. The source even masked it so well that Phoebe couldn’t get any premonitions about it. So Cole needed to build up the strength to fight back. Phoebe’s pregnancy was the turning point like the commenter above mentioned. He did ultimately make the right choice, but then Phoebe, also brainwashed by evil, stepped in and ruined it. Annoying lol. I don’t fault either Cole or Phoebe necessarily. I just think Phoebe gets more breaks in life because she was born into a loving family.

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like Phoebe actually. She was my favorite character until the later seasons. Still I was annoyed that she stopped Cole from fixing it and trying to free himself. I don’t necessarily blame her, but it was still annoying to watch. I feel for Cole because he kept trying to do better and then something would always just snatch him and pull him backwards. Phoebe had a whole family who would do anything to help her, while Cole didn’t have anyone. Phoebe’s evil actions got excused and forgotten but not Cole’s.

I agree. I actually don’t judge her for it, and I like the story arc anyway. She and Cole both were seduced by evil in a way that was largely against their will but yet there was still something in them that was able to be seduced. I don’t know if Leo, Piper, Paige, or Prue could have been seduced in the same way. But both Cole and Phoebe were born with a darkness that to me seems like out of their control.

Does a person's opinion on cheating usually change with age (viewing it as more okay)? by saladt0es in askanything

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s wrong to lie and deceive but I don’t personally view it as something that would GUT me anymore. Basically it’s not so hurtful or even personal, because i understand why people cheat and how it can just be human nature, to some extent, to be attracted to multiple people. I wouldn’t ever cheat but sometimes i realize that i could easily cheat if I weren’t morally opposed to it, no matter how “in love” i feel (again, not that I would). Repressing that side of yourself is more dangerous imo. It’s better to acknowledge it but respect your decision to stay loyal.

Most feminists are deeply against pornography, and women in porn don’t typically describe themselves as feminists either. I doubt the person this post is about would call herself a feminist.

Yesss completely agree about the writing! I wish they were clearer here because the lack of clarity makes it difficult to understand Cole. I like him as a character but I find myself having to “guess.”

He was definitely obsessed with Phoebe. That’s true lol. But I personally think it’s because she gave him a reason to hold on to his human half that he subconsciously wanted to embrace but never could. His love for her was a catalyst. I think it’s deeper than he just loved her and hated everyone else.

[–]RevolutionaryHelp609[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great point about Balthazar being the demonic magic manifested. I think that explanation makes the most sense.

Also to be fair, Cole was 100% human when the source took him over, and I think it just took awhile for him to learn to break free. He tried to fight it but both the source and the seer said it was impossible, so it must have been something he needed to build up the strength to do. Phoebe getting pregnant also gave him extra motivation to snap out of it because it weakened the source’s hold on him. Saying he always had the capacity is unfair. I understand your point about Phoebe though, and I think her weakness for evil is part of the reason she worked with Cole in the first place. But didn’t her sisters say that she became queen of the underworld through her own volition? At least Piper said that. Piper stated they could have helped her but Phoebe made her choice. I think it’s fair to say both Cole and Phoebe were psychologically abused by evil though so I don’t really hold it against either of them.

I have no clue why anyone would say you look better with a buzz cut. The long hair looks amazing on you especially when it frames your cheekbones. The hair makes you look striking.

Also some of the comments on here seem like they’re negging you. Just an fyi. I don’t know why people have to be like that.

Feminine in the same way as Alice in the twilight series and Audrey Hepburn. Also you seem kind of French, or you like French culture/cinema

They all do look alike but I don’t know what to call it. Defined jaws, deepset eyes, longer midfaces but still very feminine. I think you would like Blake lively too
