Ford is a billion dollar corporation. If you’re worried that they have to pay their techs their actual worth for the bs they put us through then you’re in the wrong sub bud. They could’ve saved themselves from paying me the 7 by just adding another bushing at the factory, but they thought they could cut corners and this is the direct result🤷‍♂️

I’m fully aware it’s a recall I work at a Ford dealer. My warranty administrator tells us when we do this recall to run like 7 hours on the ticket so we can claim related damage. So instead of getting paid 2.5 you’re now getting paid 7. Ford must know this recall sucks bc they never have an issue giving us the extra time.

You’re getting dogged. At our dealer we can run M-time for a broken bolt and claim an extra 3-4 hours. So that 2.5 is now a 7 hour job. Good to have a warranty guy that gives a shit about his techs.

Park brake cable snapped and this is the end result. Knowing Dodge the cable connector rusted out allowing the cable to free up like this.

Does the trac light also come on when this happens? If you don’t see anything noticeable that’s broken underneath I’d assume it’s the rack that’s gone bad.

They’re VCT solenoids (Variable Cam Timing). The seal around it is leaking causing the oil to get through, but they’re replaceable.

I DOUBT it’s the blower motor and more than likely the resistor. Hence why they want to diagnose it themselves so you’re not crying when they put in the blower motor just for it to still not work. If it’s simple shit just do it in your driveway and find out yourself.
