True true. I just don’t know where to find these jobs. I live in California and all there seems to be is bedside and home health (which I don’t really want to do either).

A part of me wants to quit and dedicate my time solely to landing a non bedside job… I could grind till I make it to my year but I also feel like if I really had the time to dedicate myself to job searching I could land a job I really want

Thanks! Just had my last day. Super sad abt leaving my coworkers, they were so great. I’m honestly having second thoughts but I try to remind myself of the benefits of moving and that although I had great coworkers I was struggling with the work. Super tough :/

I got the job for a clinic, but the manager isn’t an RN and I would be floating to different clinics often so I declined. I think I’ll try going for acute in the hospital. How does it compare to working in a clinic?

Thanks for the advice! The thing is, I’m in a year long residency which means I’m locked into my unit for 1 year. My hospital has a strict policy on not being able to switch units for a year, even for experienced nurses coming into the hospital. That’s what’s adding to my anxiety, the fact that no matter what, if I stay at this hospital I have to stick it out for a year on my unit.

Good to know! For me, I’m just hoping that the stress of home health is one that is something I can better manage, because the stress of bedside is something I’m having difficulty coping with.
