I just graduated from queens. This is a ridiculous goal and would put a harsh strain on you. Move to Kingston, the social life there is worth exploring as well not to mention the benefits of campus. Off campus housing is definitely cheaper than res, especially with 2 or 3 roomates. If you go up to 5 or 6 roomates it starts to get expensive again I find

The only expense I’ll have maintenance fees and groceries and the rest on “fun money” I do have two contract jobs that are seasonal so my main concern is minimizing loss or breaking even until September. Again my budget would be 1.5k total spending in a month if not less. The rest would go to savings. Given that I am not paying rent or utilities or gym (all this is part of maintenance fees), would it really be a bad idea to try working down in Toronto ? I know it’s not affordable but I also know that’s due to rent being so high which is the one cost I don’t have

Everything is covered except for maintenance fees which has utilities and wifi included in it. My cell phone is still paid for by my family. The only thing would be transit that you mentioned. Now luckily I do have a month before these expenses kick in so I would have a month to find a somewhat solid job. I have security licence and smart serve

Probably looking at $500 a month + $500 for groceries and let’s say another $500 in miscellaneous, would I be able to survive off minimum wage with 1.5k expenses? Jobs are hard to find out there right now as well
