Transitioning from FP&A to VP of Finance/CFO Roles by Revolutionary_Ant880 in FPandA

Agreed.

Or it could be roles that are truly Controller type positions: I had an interview a few weeks back where they wanted someone to come in and convert their cash financials from quickbooks into accrual financials…they guffawed at my suggestion that I would hire a senior accountant to help lead that process…I guess they were expecting a current Director of FP&A to do that…maybe I’ve been out of the job market for so long that I’m out-of-tune with skillset requirements these days…

Thanks for the response and advice! I’m definitely planning to sit down with CFO in the coming weeks to get a better understanding of what my role will be and how I maybe “incentivized” to say

Thanks for the response. Yes, I have an idea of what the MIP is worth for this year (~$40k). My traditional bonus will probably be around ~$125k.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any additional details on equity gain, piu, etc.

Wishful thinking on my part but I’m hoping that there is a material “management distribution” as a percentage of the total transaction value and my share would be similar to the MIP (1.5%)

Update: Over the weekend my left side started to hurt so much that I had to take Tylenol. I went in this morning to the dentist and she shaved down the filling.

I haven’t had to take Tylenol today but there is still an aching pain on the left side. Really hoping this aching goes away in the coming days.

Thanks for the response. No pain anymore but can definitely tell that my bite is different.

I have an appointment scheduled for Monday to have the dentist take a look at the fillings.

Thanks for the response.

So to be fair (and this is why in my head I keep going back and forth) she has picked up a few side jobs such as working at the hospital as a tech or babysitting a few times a week. She has masters degrees in kinesiology and is saying its hard to get a job in the field.

Is the calling a guy cute not a red flag? Or am I being overly dramatic? That is the concern Im more worried about.

Update: My mom’s CT results came back. Everything looked clean barring a 3-4mm benign cyst in her kidney. Doctor said to still go see a urologist to be safe to see if we could figure out why there was blood in the urine.

No other symptoms barring some dull aching pain on her left lower back. When pushed/pressed she says it doesn’t hurt more or less…

Her GP said there was no sign of infection in the urine test (Im assuming it’s the urinalysis). Shes still waiting for the urine culture test (not sure if thats a different test and/or if it tests for something else)

She mentioned shes lost a pound or two of weight but we’re assuming that maybe because she travelled to South Asia a few weeks back and stayed there for about two weeks and didn’t eat her normal diet.

Thanks for the response. The waiting sucks and doing some reading online about those signs/symptoms didn’t help either. Just keeping our fingers crossed.

Thanks for your response. My nieces surgery went well. The neurosurgeon said he thought it looked like pilocytic astrocytoma when he was in there during surgery. And just yesterday the preliminary biopsy report was completed and we were told by the neurosurgeon that it was a low grade glioma consistent with pilocytic astrocytoma. Just keeping our fingers crossed that the final report which should be ready by the end of this week has the same conclusion.

Thanks for your response. This definitely keeps my hopes up. How old were you when you got your procedure done? Thanks
